The true story behind the news bulletin not being aired is this. Fiji TV wanted to air stories against the new govt. and spoke to a number of radicals who voiced their opinions in a very seditious manner. As you all know, the Emergency Decrees is in place and the decree very clearly states that all media outlets must guard against running any news which can be considered seditious. Fiji TV chose to run stories by contacting parties such as NFP, SDL and other NGO’s who all chose to use the limelight as an opportunity to voice their personal opinions and attempt to cause an uprising against the govt. of the day.

We have stated this in the past and we state this again for the benefit of those here: The govt. will not tolerate any forms of sedition, treason or civil disobedience from any quarter. We have stated that all media outlets need to exercise a high degree of caution before publishing any article which may cause riots or civil unrest of any sort. The Fiji TV management was given the opportunity to remove specific items from their news bulletin however, they refused and argued that they should be allowed to publish all news events or they would not be running the news bulletin at all. Since the armed forces have been tasked with ensuring no news outlets reports in a biased manner, the final onus was on Fiji TV to abide by the Emergency Decree or not run any of the bulletins. As such, the company then chose to flaunt the rule of law and the end result is as the viewers finally saw it: no news bulletin this evening.

We would like to reiterate to all parties that any political meetings, gatherings or any form of public congregation will require the approval of the Police Commissioner and any one found to be disobeying this order we believe, will be dealt with in an extremely serious manner. If the Fiji TV management team chooses not to run their news bulletin as normal, but under the Emergency Decree, then the govt. will not interfere with the decision taken by the management. This also applies to the Fiji Times who were cordial enough to agree that specific news articles would not be run but the requirement was that the company be allowed to publish a censorship message in its stead. This was readily agreed to and it was further agreed that no news that had been censored would be published on any of the media outlets websites. We are of the belief that the media council will be working closely with us in a professional manner in order to ensure the 30 day transition passes smoothly. The Emergency Regulations will be reviewed after this period and renewed IF necessary.

We ask that all the people of this country come together in a patriotic harmony and work with the govt. to help build a better Fiji which is free of corruption and racial politics. May God bless Fiji and her people.

Irony

No doubt many readers have viewed the media today and heard via tv and radio about Commissioner Esala Teleni's recent meeting with his Indo-Fijian staff.

We stand by every word said by Teleni. In fact we are rather amazed at the comments made on the RFN site where the toothless tigers growl about racism and harmony. We ask where their sense of reality has gone to? To crow about racism and harmony from a site which has from its very inception been the snake of racism is laughable. By publishing such articles and calling for the sacking of a reputable man, a man who has stated what was blindingly obvious is ridiculous. Teleni will not go and just like the PM, we, the bloggers who have Indians in our group agree whole heatedly that we would have done the same thing had we been in Teleni's shoes. Why are the RFN bloggers so outraged at the statements made by Teleni? Can a man not openly profess his love for Jesus? Or is Jesus such a useless term now that perhaps he is no longer worthy of being loved. Obviously the heathen bloggers at RFN have no care about faith nor do they know about allegiance. They harp on about issues and show their truly hypocritical natures by their articles today.

Jesus was the reason Teleni said what he said. If a man feels that he has been blessed by Jesus, then so be it - it brings him peace of mind and inner comfort. Or perhaps the bloggers have no value for Jesus and consider his works a curse? It would certainly seem to be the case as the bloggers have taken the words of Teleni to a new and twisted level. We standby Teleni's words and we agree that the Indian police officers are a dangerous lot. They are backstabbers and have done this to other Commissioners. They have an inner circle whereby they discuss how to topple their superiors and usurp power. The Indian police should certainly be sacked. These are the same grog-doped cigarette smoking lazy men who stroll around the street trying to get bribes from everyone. We believe the Commissioner should sack all these men and find others to replace him - others who are loyal and do not question the authority in a disciplined force.

In addition to this, the media continue to show their true colors by running to all the anti-govt. idiots and asking them for their comments. In the end, all the people in this country got to hear was how bad a person the Commissioner was. Why not talk to other members of the govt.? Why not go out in public and ask them what their views are? The answer is obvious - it would have spoiled their slanted hypocritical stories. To worsen the situation the media ended up talking to the most racist man in Fiji - Ted Young of the SDL. This was the crowning moment of the media's inefficiency and stupidity.

In the end, whatever the drug-doped lunatics at RFN may say, the bottom line is this: we believe what Teleni said is right. Any police officer who thinks otherwise should get out of the force and we will continue to support the work done by Teleni and his dedicated team. Teleni will remain but all the backstabber will be purged.

Frankly Speaking -Fiji Army Commander Frank Bainimarama Speaks Out

By (Late) Robert Keith-Reid (from www.pacificislands.cc)

Quite a few people want Commodore Frank Bainimarama eased from his job as commander of Fiji's 3500-man strong army.

Some people have tried to ease him out.

In November 2000, one of the objects of a flopped but bloody mutiny at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Suva, was to kill Bainimarama.

A year later, the police and army foiled a plot to kidnap Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase and Bainimarama.

Last year, some members of the ex-servicemen's association mounted a petition for Bainimarama's removal as army commander after he rejected their demand for a F$250,000 (US$125,0000) "goodwill" payment they alleged is due to them. This is in addition to the more than F$200 million they are claiming from the government.

A few weeks ago, parliamentarian Samisoni Tikoinasau urged the government to "discipline" Bainimarama for "insubordination". Tikoinasau is a brother of George Speight, now in jail for life for high treason.

Bainimarama has a low opinion of Speight, as you will read later. He can stay where he is, in jail, for years, the army commander says.

For some time it has been clear that the government would also like to see the back of Bainimarama.

It has offered him the enticement of being Fiji's High Commissioner in Kuala Lumpur, London, and currently Wellington, and backed his unsuccessful application for a job as a United Nations peace force commander.

Bainimarama dismisses persistent rumours and reports, since Islands Business originally interviewed him, that he's since decided to go to Wellington.

In recent months, there have been persistent reports in the local media, partially confirmed by Home Affairs Minister Joketani Cokanasiga, to the effect that "Bainimarama's contract will not be renewed" when it expires at the end of this year.

Bainimarama, who joined the army's naval squadron in 1975 and rose to become its commander, told Islands Business: "There never was any intention to move to any other area from the outset. I made the military my career, am enjoying it, and like most in the military intend to stay on until retiring age. I was made head of the military in 1999 and intend to stay until I am 55. There was never any contract signed in 1999 on my resuming as chief of the military.

"But I guess the powers that be can remove me for non-performance. But I thought I and the military have been doing extremely well considering the circumstances."

He says that normally he would have expected to remain army commander until the retiring age of 55. He's now 49.

"So you have another six years?"

"Yes."

"You are willing to stay on until your are 55?"

"Yes, until 55. There was no plan for me to go anywhere, and this has been strengthened recently by issues that need to be addressed. I am of the view that the choice to change careers should be mine."

The "unfinished business" includes the completion of army trials of soldiers involved in the mutinies and the small number of soldiers who in May 2000 joined George Speight, a minor local businessman who was suddenly promoted to the chairmanship of two government timber corporations, in the armed seizure of Parliament.

Then Prime Minister Mahendra Chaudhry and most of his cabinet members were held hostage there for 56 days. Speight claimed he was freeing indigenous Fijians of political domination by Fiji's Indian citizens.

There is a list of other business Bainimarama wishes to complete. "I have unfinished business with the military. One is the court martial. We have two outstanding cases of which I am the convening officer. Two are the court cases (prosecutions of civilians on coup-related charges). I thought we should see the end of that.

"Three, we have a defence review coming up. There is no doubt that the review will focus on the roles and participation of the military during the events of 2000, which will have implications on the force structure. I want to be around to answer those queries.

"Four, we have a review of conditions of pay and services in progress. There are a lot of other issues I'm involved in. But first and foremost are the general court martials. I am the convening officer for them.

"Another matter is, I understand there are moves to take some of my people to court for the deaths of some of the CRW people (four members of the now disbanded Counter Revolutionary Warfare Unit) who were allegedly beaten to death by loyalist soldiers during the mutiny. That's been
investigated."

The other issue, he says, is that "I together with the military have unfinished business with the community at large in that we want to assist the government in the removal of the continued threat to the security of the nation.

"One does not have to be smart to realise that the security situation in Fiji is quite fluid, and we have to continuously adjust ourselves to ensure that the air and feeling of uncertainty is removed from our midst."

Why is the Fiji Government anxious to see Bainimarama go?

The Fiji media reports it this way: Certain political leaders are anxious to "go softly" on the investigation and prosecution of all coup suspects and want life and long jail sentences imposed on convicted army mutineers to be cut. Their wish is to placate anti-Indian Fijian nationalists whose enmity could undermine the government's power Bainimarama is an obstacle. He opposes "going soft" and clemency for anyone, including Speight, the convicted traitor, now serving a sentence of life imprisonment.

If that is the case, then the government has a problem in trying to dump the army commander or simply sacking him.

While Bainimarama might be an anathema in some places, he's regarded as a national hero by tens of thousands of citizens who crave for assured stability and peace for the country.

Bainimarama is promising to secure and maintain that.

After the invasion of Parliament Bainimarama briefly led a military government and negotiated the release of Speight's hostages, all of whom were released, some battered, but none dead.

Bainimarama quickly turned over power to a civilian interim regime and made it clear that the army stood for law, order and constitutional government.

He emphatically says that this remains the case.

The army's role was in complete contrast to its purely nationalist-inspired 1987 coup against an Indian-dominated government. Many Fiji Islanders believe that in 2000 it redeemed itself by rescuing the country from being stolen by a small group of armed crooks, thugs and fanatics that the police and remaining elements of legal government, in the form of the then President, Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara, were powerless to deal with.

As frequent letters published by local newspapers show, a lot citizens continue to regard Bainimarama as a man to put their trust in.

Prior to the Islands Business talk with Commodore Bainimarama, conducted in an office he sometimes uses outside the barracks in the now disbanded Fiji Intelligence Service's former headquarters near Government House, the local media had reported that he was digging his heels in against pressures to "go easy" on convicted mutineers and others.

Some reports said the government tried to pressure him through the present president, Ratu Josefa Iloilo, who is elderly and ailing.

Bainimarama flatly denied a report that he's told Qarase that he should resign if he loses a case in which Chaudhry is claiming eight cabinet seats for his Fiji Labour Party. But some other reports are correct, he says.

Bainimarama says he was offered the Fiji High Commissioner post for Malaysia in 2001 and more recently to the United Kingdom and New Zealand.

Earlier this year he agreed to go to Wellington, but then changed his mind for reasons he felt he should not disclose.

Asked about reports that he had blocked efforts to secure a presidential pardon for Speight, he replied: "Well, we know that is not going to happen. I mean, why should a man who turned Fiji upside down, be pardoned? Will the rest of the prisoners (in Fiji's main prisons at Naboro and Korovou) be also released?

"The stance of the Fiji military in this regard is fairly well known in that people who were responsible in the illegal activities of 2000 should be taken to task and if sentenced, should serve out their sentences in full."

Bainimarama says when he leaves the army his successor will be his land force and deputy commander, Colonel Iowane Naivalurua.

"The military should always be headed by someone from within."

Each Saturday Bainimarama speaks on Radio Fiji's Fijian language service.

His aim is to brief Fijians on the army's thinking on security issues.

He wishes that some talks were translated into English. The gist of what he says is evidence that the army's relationship with some of its political masters is not a comfortable one.

"The public should be aware of leaders who have personal agendas because of the events of 2000, and that good governance means the rule of law must be followed.

"In one recent talk I said that the political climate post-coup changed dramatically from 1987.

"In 1987, the coup was conducted by the military with the backing of the vanua. After the post-coup election, the government was led by none other than the Major-General (coup leader Steven Rabuka) and there was a certain collusion between the military and the government of the day.

"What the government wanted, the military gave, and what the military wanted, the government gave. We were part and parcel of the same entity.

"There is a marked difference now. In 2000 we had the power, and we gave the power back on the understanding that the military must not be in a position to govern.

"It doesn't look well in the international community. We are talking about globalisation and it would not augur well for Fiji. We should give it (government) back to politicians.

"Politics being politics, and with the structure of our constitution, we must accept the fact that those that involved themselves in the illegal activities of 2000 (pending the outcome of police investigation) will also come in (be elected to the present Parliament.)

"We said okay, that's all right; there's no problem as long as they govern properly and good governance means that the rule of law must be followed.

"We've now discovered that's not the case. So we have decided we must play our part in the governance of this country and provide the government with continued advise on security issues with regards to the rule of law.

"That is why I am being attacked by politicians and ministers alike.

"I've been told I'm to stay away from politics. But that is the interpretation of those who don't want us to tell people about what is happening. Isn't politics and security tied? Aren't they interwoven?

"We are of the view that if we stay away from politics from this particular issue, the people who have the 'mandate' to lead and who have a private agenda because of the events of 2000, will do what they want, and who is going to stop them?

Islands Business asked: "So there is a core of officers who think the army should conduct itself in a certain manner?"

"Yes."

"And they are unhappy with the way the civilian government is pushing things and have decided to resist that push?"

"That's right. But only resist the push in one direction; not in the governance of the country. We stay away from that. Only when it touches security and when we see people interfere in the rule of law being followed."

Bainimarama says efforts to secure lesser sentences and clemency are to "please these (coup supporters) people and this is certainly a move to undo all the work the military and the security and judiciary have done all these years".

Recalling the first days of the coup, Bainimarama related: "When I first heard it was George Speight, I knew it had nothing to do Fijians. I knew it had nothing to do with indigenous rights. I said 'who the hell is George Speight?'

"The last person I talked to said, 'Oh, this guy Speight jumped over the fence with seven people and he's got the government.'

"I said, "that can't be right. Why? Because Speight is an old man and he is going to get a heart attack running around like that. I said there's only Sam Speight, (George's father) who is a parliamentarian, I knew from some grog sessions.

"Then I suddenly remembered this bald-headed guy who was in the papers for some mahogany deal that went wrong; so I knew it had nothing to do with Fijian rights; nothing to do with indigenous rights. It had to do with mahogany (concessions) and the losers from the previous elections, people who would like to take advantage of a change in government to get new positions, and hangers on who thought they could get a piece of the pie.

"We knew that. That's proven by just looking at the people who got into parliament from day one."

Bainimarama, who was in Norway at the time the coup happened, said on his return to Suva: "On the first day after my return, two things were fairly clear.

"Somebody has given the support of the vanua. George Speight is an unknown quantity. It was clear that certain Fijian chiefs (Bainimarama didn't want to name them) wanted to persuade the Great Council of Chiefs to back George Speight.

"It was fairly clear to me that, one, Speight had been endorsed from the vanua. Somebody had given him Fijian support. Two: someone has promised him the military."

In the tense days that followed, Bainimarama says he told one group of chiefly Speight sympathisers: "Look, listen to me; if we don't do what I am trying to get us to do (restore democratic government) we will go back to 1800s, and you know what happened in the 1800s? War. (Fijians engaged constantly in tribal warfare at that time).

"Is that where you people want to take us back to? Sure, we are getting a lot of pressures from our chiefs, but we must explain to the people what needs to be done to get us back on track.

"Last week (in his weekly broadcast) I was talking about the law; the law is what drives and brings stability to the land.

"We throw that out of the window and there will be none of us sitting around like this; you won't be writing. There won't be anyone in jail. We will be shooting each other looking for food. We must let people know the right path to be followed. You have to stand up to these people that talk down to you."

Bainimarama says the army has a pretty clear idea of the story behind May 19, 2000, but not all of it.

"You know, what we need to do is get George Speight out and sit him down with a pen and paper. We were too hasty in taking him to Nukulau (island jail) in the first instance. We keep telling ourselves that. When we arrested him, we should not have taken him to Nukulau there and then; we should have got him a pen and paper and threatened him to write the story.

" Speight's rating" has gone to zilch," he says.

"There's not going to be another George Speight, I can tell you that. He may be released in may be 12 years. Not now, because of the stance of the military."

Speight isn't "safe anywhere off Nukulau," Bainimarama says.

"His brother (an MP) is saying 'I can collect 10,000 signatures easily (for Speight's release)'. We could collect 800,000 to keep George at Nukulau."

In his weekly broadcasts, the army commander says: "I want to reach the Fijian people. That's the people we need to touch.

"In the Fijian broadcast sessions we tell the people we don't want anyone creating unrest. If certain people are thinking that in order to save themselves they can come out and create trouble for all of us, I can only say that, contrary to the events of 2000, we will not be standing around twiddling our thumbs in the middle of the street. They will face the full brunt of the military."

In the months ahead of Fiji, there is the risk of more unrest, he says.

"That's certainly a worry. True nationalism will come up. They will use that as an excuse for nationalism to rear its ugly head again. That's why every Saturday morning in informing the public about the happenings within the military, I would like to allay fears and assure the community that we
will look after them if something hits the fan and tell (troublemakers) 'look it's not going to work. You start anything and you'll face the full brunt of the law and anything after that, you'll face the military.

"That is what we stress in the military all the time; to always do good so that people put their trust in you. They don't want to be putting their trust in an organisation that is corrupt."

Quick Updates

We thank all our readers for their patience as we left blogging for some time. We had been busy and a few members of our group had flown off to relatives in other countries.

The RFN and SV sites have kept up their end of ranting and ravings. We are also aware that their latest toy is the issue regarding John Samy an the incident which occurred at the airport. We wish to state that the camera footage was reviewed and it was seen that an individual was loitering around Mr. Samy's items. In addition to this, we can state that this was the work of anti-govt. terrorists. We know they did their best to frame Mr. Samy and it is fortunate that Mr. Teleni was available to prevent the situation from becoming a media tool for ridiculing the govt. Bad luck to the RFN and SV bloggers who thought Mr. Samy was capable of such an act. Such actions are not uncommon. In many countries, people unknowingly become transporters of drugs and other things - Mr. Samy is one of the lucky ones. We thank Mr. Samy for his contribution to the people of Fiji. May people such as Mr. Samy continue to avail themselves in the face of everything other countries and dissidents such as RFN and SV throw at them.

The RFN site is quoted as saying that the Military Council has issued a word of caution to the bloggers of this site. We wish to categorically state that nothing of such a nature has eventuated. We have not been in touch with the Military Council nor have they been in touch with us. It is such lies which continue to take our country backward and not in a progressive manner as it should. We are of the opinion that the RFN and SV bloggers are a group of compulsive lying terrorists who need to be caught and silenced for their heretic acts. Their continual lying and claims of knowing everything which happens inside govt. are astounding and the fact that they write such things without any proof only serves to reinforce the fact that they are a group of despots hell-bent on taking this country to the dogs.

The latest issue to date is Qarase being allowed to travel. We have not imposed any travel bans on Qarase and he is of no significance to this govt. We have no need for him or feel their is any need for him to be on bans as he is neither a threat or of any value. He may travel freely however, his future in politics is well and truly over. We have time and time again exposed the high level of corruption present in govt. which was continually nurtured and used by Qarase and his cronies to get what they wanted - financial greed was rampant and we are aware that Qarase has siphoned off significant funds for his personal use. In a day where he should be trying his best to help the country forward, Qarase decides to fly off to another country where he will no doubt try his best to disrupt the work this govt. has done. We have stated this before and say it again: We are a sovereign nation and will not bow to any pressure from other states.

A Dark Day

We noted with grave disappointment the announcement by the PM that the minimum wage order would be shelved until July. We share the sentiments shared by many when the accusation that the govt. has given in to the elite of the society. For the PM to come out with a ridiculous statement that it is for the betterment of the country, the statement is in very bad taste, particularly if it was said in jest.

We cannot understand why such a decision was taken, particularly when the govt. is supposedly doing what it is doing for the good of the people. Added to this, the Fiji Times today revealed details about PM's leave payout which means that decisions made have been one-sided - for the people in govt. It is indeed a dark day when the people who chose to take the reigns of this country in their quest for truth and fairness do exactly what the previous govt's. were doing and continue to treat the backbone workers of this country like dirt. For a man who has just about everything, the least the PM could have done was allow the minimum pay order to go through. By deferring it, he has not only made a fool of himself as that was his initiative, but also of the govt. which has been, ironically, preaching from the pulpit about fairness, transparency and benefits for the poor. Where has that vision gone to? Has the PM finally succumbed to the temptations of the dollar and decided to let the country go to the dogs? Perhaps we are truly not far from the days when Fiji will become another Zimbabwe.

We are worried. We generally do not speak out against the govt. Our blog of today is meant to show our frustration. Wadan Narsey is quite right when he says that the PM is inept and unable to realize the huge mistake he is making. Father Kevin Barr has taken a firm stand and we applaud his decision. We prefer to stand by him on this issue as we believe that politics should never have been allowed into such a decision which affects the lives of the poor. This scenario has shown many that the govt. is doing what was previously being whispered: taking food from the mouths of the poor and feeding the rich while the poor are left to beg for scraps. We shun such a decision made and we believe that those corrupt individuals who swayed the PM's decision have no conscience as they do not see the poor people's plight. While people such as Solanki drive around in their flashy Jaguars, Mercedes and BMW's. the poor people look for every cent to help pay that daily busfare to get them to work. While the rich sit at home everyday and eat fresh, hot and smoking meals, the poor carefully reheat whatever is left from the day before and try to make the most of that. Everything we do from this day forward will never be the same - we have done what we should never have done: fall prey to the sly and bastardly businessmen. It is a shame and a stain on the govt. which will never wash off and may this day be seen as the day the govt. fell back on its promise to the people

Updates!!!

Hello to all our supporters. We've had a very busy week as we had a lot of meetings a things to get done.

We have noted with deep concern the behavior of the Elections Supervisor, Felicity Heffernan. Her recent debut into the world of Fijiwood has u extremely concerned. Not only has she compromised her position, but she has also brought shame to the august office. As such, we are aware that her days are numbered and she will be possibly asked to resign on the grounds that she has made a political statement against the govt. We do not like to see people hired to carry out their roles independently get involved in the petty politics plaguing this nation and he sacking will certainly send a clear message to all that we are looking for professionals and not simply people who are coming to have a good time in Fiji. In the spirit of fairness, the Supervisor should be given the chance to state her case and if the situation warrants it, her resignation should be demanded.

We thank our commentator Jone for his thoughtful comments. Keep up the good work Jone and do not let the detractors distract you from telling the world the truth about the level of corruption that has been exposed by this govt. We know that those who continue to go against us are influenced by past corrupt politicians and Methodist Cult leaders who know the power they once had to influence the govt. for their personal evil benefits has ended. Jone's words have deep meanings and we appreciate his/her taking the time to provide us with his rebuttals of the stupid comments made by the RFN and SV bloggers. Obviously, the words of Jone cause great pain and bring distress to the RFN and SV bloggers. They cannot stand to see someone oppose their work and in such a manner that it attracts widespread attention. In the words of fallen baboons, blog on Ragone!!!

One of the recent articles written by the RFN trolls is about how the loss of Fiji at the Wellington Sevens is the fault of the govt. We are extremely disappointed to see our boys fall so quickly but proud that they were able to, like the fabled lion, rise out of the darkness and overcome our opponents quickly. Good work boys!!! No doubt the management of the FRU will be sacked along with the coach once he returns. While the team is making good progress, the fault of the failure will lie squarely on the FRU management and the coach who has been seen to make some very foolish decisions - we anticipate some sackings.

The rumor going around at present about the govt. calling back Mahen Chaudary is false. Chaudary will not be recalled as he was sacked from the govt. after failing to successfully negotiate a deal with the water bottlers and the bus association. We do not see any reason to bring him back as there are more suitably qualified people to handle the role and at this stage, Jim Ah-Koy is being eyed for this position as he is well respected by the business community and knows of measures to streamline the economy, saving revenue and ensuring investment is maintained. The recent revelations by the RBF about our foreign reserves has no doubt made many a little uneasy but we assure you that there is nothing to panic about - there are safety measures which will ensure that we do not encounter any troubles. Interest rates had been reduced to ensure a healthy liquidity in the market and despite the rubbish written by Dr. Rohit Kishore, we know that our position is still solid. People such as Rohit Kishore should learn to keep their mouth shut when they don't know what they're talking about. "The racist policies of the past," he says, sipping coffee in his office at the Republic of Fiji Military Force Strategic HQ in Suva, "would have taken us to hell—and we would never have come back." For many observers in the outside world, most vocally Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer, Bainimarama's actions were an unacceptable interference in the democratic process, but the armed forces chief and now interim Prime Minister is unrepentant. "If you want to stop the coup cycle, you have to get rid of the ugly side of Fijian politics," he says. "If the Qarase government had done what we're doing now, they would still be there."

Bainimarama says entrenched corruption, race-based policies that favored the 51% of Fiji's population who are indigenous, and runaway crime drove his intervention. He rejects Downer's suggestion that he has acquired a taste for power as "the height of insensitivity and arrogance," saying he didn't want to be Prime Minister, and accepted the position only at the urging of his military council. "I hate this job," he says, "but it has to be done. And we are going to stay until we complete this business."

How long that will take is anyone's guess. The interim government's "road map" for elections and a return to democracy had a scheduled arrival date of 2010, but Bainimarama now fears the process may take longer. "We earmarked six months for the Electoral Commission to redraw boundaries [unchanged since the mid-'90s]," he says, but he was told by officials the day before he spoke to Time that the work will take 18 months. "So even before we have started, 12 months have been added to 2010."

That news won't please Australia, New Zealand or the U.S., which have demanded a swift return to civilian rule. But if foreign disapproval counts with Bainimarama, he's not showing it. "They want to bully the small nations of the Pacific," he says. "Downer's policy is to ensure there is weak government in Fiji so they can take advantage of it." If outsiders really want to help Fiji, he says, "they should just lay off. Stop attacking what we're trying to do here, because it's not going to make any difference to us." He relies instead on popular support, which, he claims, "is now at 95%. People are only now understanding what we've told them over the past three or four years about crooked chiefs and corrupt politicians," he says. "They believe us now."

But while there's wide agreement that corruption needed to be eradicated, the FMF is accused of murderously heavy-handed tactics. On top of many allegations that political opponents and criminals have been beaten and intimidated, the past month has seen the deaths of two young men, allegedly at the hands of soldiers. There are murmurs that the FMF commander either endorses the brutality or has lost control of his men.

"I have told my troops that power corrupts only if you abuse the authority given to you," he says. "I am continually telling my people, 'This is the line. You can't cross this line. It doesn't do us any good.' "While unwilling to comment on specific cases, which he says are under police investigation, he suspects some soldiers may have misunderstood their mission. "I have no doubt that some guys have crossed the line thinking that's the right thing to do," he says, adding that any wrongdoing will be punished.

The military, he says, don't want to do police work, although he points to their results. "Under Qarase's government, every day of the week people were jumping on counters with cane knives to steal," he says. "There hasn't been a major crime since Dec 5. None." And when lawlessness has decreased to his satisfaction, his men will be withdrawn: "We want to give that power back to the police, but at the moment people don't have confidence in them." He notes a fall in police morale since the departure of Commissioner Andrew Hughes. "He ran away," says Bainimarama. As for reports that the Australian left after threats that his family would be kidnapped, "It's all rubbish. Who would want to kidnap him? He is insignificant."

He says Hughes was ignorant of Fijian politics, a charge he lays at many doors. Foreign politicians like Downer and his New Zealand counterpart Winston Peters are getting bad advice from their Fiji missions, he says, and don't know what's happening on the ground. "The diplomats got along better with Qarase's people," he says. "They want business as usual—even if it's going downhill." Last month Fiji's Reserve Bank predicted the economy would shrink 2-4% this year; before the coup, it had forecast growth of 2%. Speaking the day before his government's first Budget, Bainimarama blames Qarase's team. "If the economy falls," he says, "then 2% of the fall can be attributed to the events of Dec. 5. Ninety-eight per cent is the fault of the previous government. We were already going downhill, but we need to pick it up very quickly."

Meanwhile, he stresses his successes: government agencies are operating with military efficiency after a "change of attitude"; the streets are so much safer that checkpoints will be removed "maybe by the end of March"; an Independent Commission Against Corruption will soon be established; and expatriate Fijians are returning to the country. For good or ill, Bainimarama has pressed the reset button on Fijian politics and is prepared to wait while the program reloads. He is "very confident" the country is on the right path. "We've set our target and we're heading towards it," he says, with a determined smile. "We're going to win."

The Laws of Fiji

We have recently noticed the number of anti-govt. bloggers increase their ravings on this site. While many have simply resorted to using profanity (it is expected when you're ill-bred) while others have questioned the legitimacy of the military and its actions. We have been down this path once. We will only say that any member of the military who has or was involved in any physical abuse of citizens of this country has been taken to task. Each soldiers involvement has ultimately been decided by the military council and we will let the matter rest there. There is nothing further to discuss on this topic and we will not be returning to this issue.

We reiterate that the death of Malasebe was not of any consequence and his death has only removed a dangerous individual from our midst. To those who have repeatedly questioned this, we ask what you would choose if you were in the shoes of Malasebe's victims? Would you rather watch your family slain before you or slay the beast who threatens the very sanctity of your home? The choices we all make are our own and no individual can tell you what path to choose. We made our choice a long time ago and we will stick by these choices till the end. When in sight of the Almighty, we will be answerable for our actions and not the RFN and SV pot-smokers. We will however, not allow corrupt SDL officials to return to the forefront of running this country - that is certain. We will ensure that individuals who have used this country as a mere tool for their unscrupulous activities are taken to task and the light of the justice system falls on them.

Our sovereign leader has sworn an oath to protect this country - from evil forces within and outside. We are curious as to how our detractors reached the conclusion that his actions were illegal when the Courts have pronounced the action as legitimate. This was clearly demonstrated in whereby the then Acting Chief Justice Anthony Gates ruled in Qarase v Bainimarama [2008] FJHC 241; HBC 60.2007S; HBC 398.2007S (9 October 2008) that

"We find that exceptional circumstances existed, not provided for by the Constitution, and that the stability of the State was endangered. We also find that no other course of action was reasonably available, and that such action as taken by the President was reasonably necessary in the interests of peace, order and good government. Rather than impairing the just rights of citizens we conclude that the President’s actions were designed to protect a wide variety of competing rights from displacement by avoiding conflagration." (p.62, [162])
So where does the question of the legality of this govt. come in? Who are the RFN and SV bloggers to question this when the law of the land, the same law which is applicable to all the people in those country, has been found to be correct in it's verdict? Certainly, from the tone taken by both amateurish sites only serves to tell the wider public that the websites are in contempt of Court from their actions and words.

We have only to quote from the recent High Court ruling of In re Application by the Attorney General of Fiji [2009] FJHC 8; Action No 124.2008 (22 January 2009) where the learned Justice Hickey ruled, citing the judgment of Wilson J in 1979 in Rooney (No 2), Papua New Guinea, that

"the independence of the judiciary is guaranteed by the Constitution … The Constitution provides the protective safeguards of judicial independence … The independence of the judiciary is the key to freedom under the law … The Judicial Declaration that each member of the judiciary is required, by … the Constitution, to make before entering upon the duties of, or exercising any of the powers of, his [or her] office is inconsistent with there being any erosion of the concept of the independence of the judiciary … By virtue of the making of such a declaration independence becomes a vital part of a judge’s judicial integrity ..."
which clearly states that the decisions taken by the judiciary were legitimate and in line with the current constitution. In addition to this, making such false statements, we cite the case of Regina v Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, Ex parte Blackburn (No 2) in which Lord Salmon (at page 155G) said:

"It follows that no criticism of a judgment, however vigorous, can amount to contempt of Court, providing it keeps within the limits of reasonable courtesy and good faith."
Lord Edmund Davies (at page 156E) agreed saying:

“The right to fair criticism is part of the birthright of all subjects of Her Majesty. Though it has its boundaries, that right covers a wide expanse, and its curtailment must be jealously guarded against. It applies to the judgments of the courts as to all other topics of public importance. Doubtless it is desirable that critics should, first be accurate and, secondly, be fair, and that they will particularly remember and be alive to that desirability if those they would attack have, in the ordinary course, no means of defending themselves.”
So, these references should be more that adequate to provide the RFN and SV bloggers with the reasons behind the actions taken to remove the SDL from power and the realistic consequences of contempt of Court which the RFN and SV bloggers have crossed more then once. We have chosen these quotes deliberately for the following reasons. It should be noted prior that The International Court of Justice resolves matters of international law between sovereign states. For more on its jurisdiction look at its web site: here

Google Blogger is subject to International Laws and as such should the reason demand action, the company may be subjected to an appearance in the ICC whereby the Court may ask for full disclosure of IP (Internet Protocol) addresses of all individuals who utilize the RFN and SV sites. This has already been proven when Google was summoned before the Supreme Court in the USA and asked to provide IP addresses of all individuals frequenting pornographic sites which encouraged paedophilia. While the issue of privacy was paramount in the argument, the Court ruled that the rights of individuals who indulged in such behavior were not subject to privacy and as such had to be disclosed. This was agreed to by Google. The govt. of Fiji can, should it wish, to file an injunction with the ICC which can issue a suspension of the bloggers accounts which are found to be abusing the Freedom of Speech clause for their malicious practices.

That the bloggers of the RFN and SV site are using the Internet domain for their flagrant and vagrant display of contempt of Court which is punishable by law as the primary domain of the Google Blogger site is in the USA which is also subject to the International Laws of fair speech and protecting the reputation and rights of individuals.

We hope that our message is clear - we will not stop because the law is on our side and we ensure that every action is done in line with the 2007 Constitution of Fiji.

Sick Methods by RFN

The RFN bloggers are outrageous. Their various attempts to twist the blogs on this site for their personal propaganda are dastardly at worst. Over the past few days, the bloggers have claimed that this site is inciting or attempting to incite a racial war. We reject that claim and ask that the daft bloggers prove their claim. By merely using superficial words and then claiming such ridiculous things is going beyond the norm.

Who on earth is claiming that this site is trying to incite a racial war? There is no racial war, there is no call for any racial war nor will there ever be any call for racial wars. The RFN bloggers are obviously mad or they're just amazingly thickheaded to realize that the days of using race as a reason for wars are long gone. Try a different tack because you're beginning to sound like the broken record - which is actually what they sounded like from the beginning except the record seems truly broken now.

On behalf of our team, we would like to categorically state that the claim by the RFN bloggers is absolutely false, like the false prophets they worship and we hereby issue this disclaimer.
The problem lies with the fact that we tell the truth and because it is the truth, the bloggers at RFN cannot bear this fact and use such dirty tactics to further their cause - it certainly has not worked in the past and it will not work now or in the future.

One of the recent accomplishments of the govt. is the absolute removal of all councillors and mayors. Over the past years, these corrupt individuals have ransacked the coffers of their towns and benefited themselves beyond belief. The Suva mayor along with his criminal deputy have used every possible opportunity to loot the council coffers and benefit themselves with presents of cars. The situation was exacerbated when the overweight slob decided to spend council money and gave himself along with his subordinates, new vehicles. This was achieved by increasing city rates. The Nasinu mayor used council funds for buying groceries for his family and this is one of the main reasons he was fighting so much when he was told to vacate the office.

We will not be restoring any of these mayors and councillors, particularly based on the fact that these mayors and councillors were appointed by the SDL who then used them for their corrupt practises. The Commonwealth can demand the elections until they're blue in the face because the constitution will first be changed to ensure that corrupt individuals such as Qarase and his crooked members never return to power. It is time for the RFN bloggers to get in line with the new policies or consider self-annihilation.

Full Text of Fiji Times vs. State of Fiji

Exposed as we are to the winds of criticism, nothing which is said by this person or that, nothing which is written by this pen or that, will deter us from doing what we think is right; nor, I would add, from saying what the occasion requires, provided that it is pertinent to the matter in hand. We feel that the amount of blogging we have been doing is great and we are back today to discuss things of greater importance.

While the PIF has shown itself to be a truly inept group and corrupt as well, Fiji is still inviting the members to the next meeting to be held in Nadi. Of course we will be presenting our case again to the PIF and hope that they have the good sense to realize that no matter what the case, we will not have any election time lines dictated to us by other countries. Our country is not under the dominion of any other country and the attitude shown towards us by Australia and NZ only serves to reinforce why there is a need to remove these two countries from the PIF. The fact that they use cheque-book diplomacy to achieve results is testimony that these two countries will stop at nothing to show the world their bullying tactics. Fiji has done nothing but make attempts to salvage the relationship we share with these countries but it seems that neither countries are willing to listen to the Fiji side of things. There embarassment over the fact that they tried to invade Fiji during the early days of the coup and their subsequent failure to make Fiji into another Solomon Islands has caused a deep stain in their persona. We repeat - we will not change our stance. We will have elections when we are ready and not allow other countries to dictate their terms to us.

Fiji leader defiant after threats

Source

Preamble: Even in the face of pressure from our neighboring countries who have shown their true colors and green underbellies, our govt. remains undeterred from our mission. IG Blog Team

Fiji's leader has expressed defiance, a day after the Pacific Islands Forum threatened it with expulsion if no elections were held by the end of 2009.

In an interview with the New Zealand-based Hindi-language Radio Tarana, Frank Bainimarama said he felt under no pressure to set a date for elections.

He described New Zealand's Prime Minister, John Key, as being very rude and uninformed.

Mr Bainimarama took control of Fiji in a military coup in 2006.

The Pacific Islands Forum met on Tuesday and agreed that if Fiji did not announce an election date by the start of May, and hold elections by the end of the year, it would face sanctions by the regional grouping, including a loss of development funding.

'Declaration of war'

In the interview, Mr Bainimarama said the forum should not hold its breath waiting for instant action.

"It is going to be a long wait. We will not be swayed and the PM is right in saying that such a move is a declaration of war. For those with short memory spans( SV and RFN), the PM had announced shortly before the coup that if the Bikitawa arrangement was going to be used as an excuse to harm our sovereignty in any way, our responses would be equally harsh.

We do not care about the impending suspension nor do we intend to hold elections this year. There will be no announcement by May 2009 and those who oppose our decision will do well to keep their ideas close to them - we will not tolerate any dissent. As the PM has said clearly very recently, if the SDL leaders do not pipe down or continue to sow the seeds of dissent, then they will never be allowed to lead the country again and Nukulau is a great resting place for people to mull over their thoughts and actions.

The misguided cattle at RFN and SV once again assume that the recent blog written about he Methodist Cult was written by the FHRC director. How quickly the worm turns! First the accusation was hurled that the article were the words of the AG and now RFN claims that the article was written by the FHRC director. It is clearly obvious to all our readers that the RFN do not know whether they are coming or going. They have no clear concept of what they want to achieve with the prattle they spew and they certainly have no ideas of whats right and wrong. We apologize to our readers that when we asked that Waqairatu be strung up by his feet, we had failed to add cult leader Manasa Lasaro to the whole affair. These two men should be strung up by their feet then set on fire for the world to see what happens when you try to commit seditious acts or incite racial hatred. These men are not fit for this world and since they worship the devil in secret, they should be sent to his world accordingly.

We would like to comment on the recent departure of Rex Gardner. We are happy that he has reached safely back to Australia and wish him well with his future - he will never return to Fiji. Our responses are very unlike previous govt's. We are responsive and we will not take the middle ground when our sovereign rights are threatened by the media or other countries. Unlike the days of old, we will not shy away when pushed around. We will push back and it is perhaps here that we raise the issue of the RFN claims that they have connections with the military council. We would like to categorically state that this claim is a LIE. It is a dirty lie by a group of thugs and drug pushers who live in a deluded world holding onto the last shred of hope that their words may have some strength. Those days are long gone. We continue to tell the world the truth every time an article which carries only lies and hate is published on either RFN or SV. We will not allow our people to be hoodwinked by these mountain goats who think that everyone shares their warped sense of thinking.

We have also noted that people such as Pramod Rae are frequenting the screens of the television as the biased media seek for more ways to discredit the work done by the govt. It is perhaps the right time to warn Rae that something very serious will be done about his outbursts if he does not contain his malicious ideas. Just because the govt. has not sought the ideas and support of the NFP should not be seen by Rae as an excuse to push his personal agenda's forward. Rae is a failure and this has been clearly demonstrated in his inability to manage his union members and the fact that he represents a party that will never ascend to power again and is considered a "has-been" party. The NFP officials need to seriously take heed that the govt. will not tolerate any interference in our work and people such as Rae need to be mindful that their actions will carry consequences of an equally severe nature.

We observed the PIF leaders seem to be equally divided on the issue of our suspension. While cheque-book diplomacy has been the order of the day, the countries that only yesterday chose to support us and today go against us will no doubt reap the rewards of their actions. Tuvalu and Kiribati need Fiji in order to get their flights going. We will ensure that this action by the PIF is not unanswered. As soon as the grassroots people are back on their feet and their children are back at school, a strong response will no doubt be issued to ensure that our voice is heard and our decisions taken in response will be felt throughout the Pacific. We will not allow countries such as Australia and NZ to bulldoze their way in the PIF and if trade sanctions are required, then we have no doubt they will be forthcoming from Fiji very shortly. We do not have time to sit and play diplomacy games with hypocritical countries and we will ensure that our rebuttal is direct and impacts the right areas.

The RFN bloggers are no doubt feeling the frustration of their work which has born no fruit as yet. The mere fact that they do not allow commenting on their articles is a clear indication of their fear that the large number of people who will flock to their site will send clear messages that their views are not supported and that their actions are wrong. A number of people have asked that we moderate comments. We will not do this as we believe in all views published - it gives us an idea of the level of desperation the RFN bloggers are facing that they will stoop to any level to try to silence us. Before we end this blog, we would like to invite all our readers to visit the link provided on the left - Fiji: The Way it Was, Is and Can Be. The blog is written by an individual who chooses to use neutrality (like our site) in discussing many issues affecting Fiji today. We encourage you to visit the site for your own benefit.

Rebuttals

We were incredibly proud of our PM when he gave his speech to the military. His words carry strength, vision and give us the hope that good things are on their way. Despite the efforts of the RFN and SV bloggers (who seem to be always blogging about mundane issues) to once again tell lies to the world about the election dates and their extremely foolish attempts to portray us as Islamic terrorists, we remain undeterred. The PM's speech has given us the courage to say what we wish to say because we feel the truth must be heard.

On the issue of Rex Gardner, the matter is now closed and we would like the public to know that this issue will not be allowed to be used as a martyr. Gardner's actions of malicious intent were well noted and the fact that he admitted to a criminal offence add weight to the reasons for his removal. We will standby that decision and this will not be reversed.

Coming back to the issue of the Methodist Cult, we note that while the RFN site spent a great deal of time pillow blasting the group, it failed to remember that only two or three blogs before that, it was kissing the feet of their leaders of the group. The inability of the RFN arse-kissers to grasp the subtle messages behind our blog on serves to reinforce the fact that they are merely empty vessels which choose to makes noises in order to be attract unnecessary attention. Again, the RFN bloggers chose to make the articles written by us one which tries to strike racial overtones. We disagree strongly and at no point do we insinuate such a concept. Our article is written based on facts and figures - we all know the majority of the people affected were Fijians who just so happened to be Fijians. Why deny that? Here, the RFN and SV bloggers continually harp about their ethnic identity but refuse to allow a distinction to be made where they fall in bad light. We believe that the Fiji community needs greater support in this tragedy as many have lost their entire farming crops which were used to feed entire families and villages. Do not be stupid, RFN and SV bloggers. We see through your muslin thin treacherous acts and will not fall prey to them.

The announcement of the 2010 elections will not be made at the PIF. We will make an announcement when we want to and the PIF is certainly not the forum for such an announcement. This is a matter which concerns our people and has nothing to do with the people of other countries. Just because we dont have elections this year the people of all the other countries will not die of shock. We are certain they respect our sovereignty and will allow us to do what is necessary to ensure a free and fair election. The constitution will certainly need to be amended to ensure that gutter-snakes such as Qarase and his band of robbers will never return. The PM has already stressed this point clearly: Qarase is never coming back and if the people want to continue living under military rule (which is the best thing that has happened for this country), then vote Qarase - he will never enter his office nor will he be allowed to execute any decisions. We cannot allow the SDL to take us down the same horrific path it did in the past and we will recover from another coup but we cannot survive with the SDL govt.

The RFN and SV bloggers need to understand that we will not be allowing any elections until the constitution is changed to ensure that those promoting racial hatred or people who commit acts of a racially biased nature are sacked from office by the President who will be the supreme executive of the govt. of the Fiji Islands, as is the case now. The Qarase govt. made attempts to nullify the President's powers and usurp those powers for themselves to make more executive decisions. They were stopped in time and the nation tethered back and forth on the brink of collapse. We restructured and weeded out corrupt practices. We ensured that all those who got jobs in the civil service based on favoritism were thrown out and never allowed to return. Our work has been massive and resulted in a more efficient and controlled management of finances which were previously lacking. We have done a lot and proven to the people of this nation that under our leadership, they prosper more then they did in the past. Certainly, with the global crisis, our lives may be somewhat stretched but we are comfortable knowing that wretched bills such as the Qoliqoli and RTU will never see the light of day. This is our response to the first question they have posed to the members of this blog.

We choose to use this blog as a medium for communicating our views and letting the world know the unbiased and unedited truth. Our opinion is that the media in Fiji have long been pawns of the govt. of the day. We believe that their interests are generally in line with the govt. so long as the govt. continues to give them advertizing mileage and other financial perks. This govt. recognized that the media in Fiji are not independent. The journalists who report stories have long compromised their positions and taken political allegiances with various parties. People such as Anish Chand, the teletubby of Close Up is a well known NFP supporter. We are fully aware that his questions are prepared by the NFP team and we know that they are geared towards embarassing the position of any govt. member who attends the show as a guest. We also know that people such as Netani Rika are staunch SDL supporters who use their powers to write any article in favor of the SDL and discriminate the current govt. We are aware of many other reporters and media outlets who have benefitted from the past govts. financially and reputably. This is perhaps the crux of the matter. This govt. will not allow the media to abuse the power of media freedom and it has been long establised that media freedom does not give the media the power to report what they want. Where restraint needs to be used, it should be done and the foremost thought in any journalists mind when reporting on something is to ensure that the report does not cause any form of instability.

Fiji's journalists are low ranking journalists by international standards. Their reports lack accuracy and quality. Most of the reports published are done with a slanted view and the whole article will generally tell the people what the journalist thinks is right instead of what the truth is. We think that the media will need to be more careful and operate like any other sector - with restraint and moderation. We cannot allow the media to continue assuming they are god and can say or do what they want. Media freedom exists in Fiji but just like any other country, it is governed by the laws and policies of that country. If the media in Fiji are unable to regulate themselves as they have so rightly demonstrated over the years, then people such as Daryll Tarte need to consider alternative career options or get out of Fiji because their slanted views will not be tolerated.

The media should learn to accept that their days of flaunting the govt. and running amok with wild, unsubstantiated stories is over - this govt. will come down hard on the media if it fails to uphold the principles on which journalism was built: truth

This was our response to the second question posed by the foolish bloggers of RFN. These matters are now closed and will not be discussed further.

We continue to ask the RFN and SV bloggers to see the light of day and join us in our quest to take the country forward - your own people are asking you for help. Will you continue to spurn them with contempt?

Our Country, Our Laws

We read the articles on the RFN site, particularly those which discussed the 2010 elections. We note with great disappointment that the site chose to publish an unsubstantiated claim when it is we who know the truth. The elections of 2010 will happen and while the recent blog by the RFN and SV bloggers has done its best to once again shade the truth, their shabby attempts have once again been thwarted by this site which continues to publish the truth and the real voice of the people.

It is wise of the PM to tell his colleagues that he will not be swayed by the ridiculous antics of Australia, NZ and other minuscle states which think they have the right to dictate terms to Fiji. This is Fiji and the govt. will decide where we go - and that direction will be one which benefits everyone in this country. The fact that the SV and RFN bloggers concocted their sky-high tale about the PM stating the 2010 elections will not happen, only those who have some connections with the reality of the situation will testify to this fact - and that group is us.

We also note with concern that mention has been made of the AG attending the PIF instead of the PM. As mentioned before, this site has made it abundantly clear to the fatheads at RFN and SV that the PM is not in a position to attend as he is needed in Fiji to steer us out of the recent disasters. The fact that the AG has gone in his stead is not any indication of who the real PM is. It is showing you, the biased bloggers that teamwork and solidarity is very much alive in the govt. and that members can trust one another to the point where they can delegate members for key events. So, the foolish attempts by the RFN site to portray the PM as "afraid" to go are based on baseless facts which can easily be translated to heresy and lies.

On the note of Rex Gardners removal, we would like to be the first to say that this decision is fully supported by us. This has been long coming and Gardner should have realized long ago that any seditious comments or comments which have the possibility of raising instability in this country will have serious consequences on the individuals involved. The govt. along with the army will not be toyed with by unscrupulous people such as Gardner who concoct seditious stories merely to increase paper sales. We hope that this move will result in the media learning that every action carries a consequence and their recent behavior will not be tolerated by this govt. unlike the previous SDL govt. which used the media as its mouthpiece for spewing their propaganda all over the place. People such as Nawari and other key media officials were all hand-picked by the SDL criminals and they ensured that every item published praised the govt. instead of exposing the rampant level of corruption going on inside the govt. and the fact that the govt. treasury was nearly empty.

As per the requirements of expatriate working conditions, any expatriate found to have been served with a sentence of a legal nature is in breach of their working contract and as such will be subject to deportation at the discretion of the govt. Gardner obviously thought this was a joke and flaunted this to the point where he reaped what he had effectively sowed. The govt. will continue to monitor all expatriates who come into Fiji and then try to dictate or impose their ideals on us. We will not allow such behavior and Gardners deportation should come as no surprise. Regardless of the comments that will no doubt follow this news, the NZ and Australian govts. are in no position to tell us what to do. Our country will be run according to the laws of Fiji and not other countries laws. Any expatriate who feels they have a right to comment in our local political affairs is mistake and will be taken to task if discovered.

It is hope that this move will ensure that any individuals who come into our country in the future to work will respect our laws and customs.

N.B: For the commentator who published that our previous article was written by an Indian, look again if you're not too blind and stupid. Look carefully at the words used and the expressions. It is of someone you are all too familiar with and have heard these words a number of times. Look carefully - that is all we say.

The Snake in Priests Clothing

A number of our supporters have asked us to comment on the role the Methodist Church has played in the current disaster. Our analysis shows that the majority of the people affected by the flooding were Fijians, specifically, members of the self-promoted Methodist Church.

The Methodist Church is a sham. Its leaders (who spend time abusing young children) drive around in expensive vehicles while its members scrounge round for morsels of food. The very existence of this denomination raises serious concerns about the level of involvement the church has in politics and over time, the idiotic priests have stated that politics and religion should go hand in hand. We beg to disagree. People such as Tuikilakila Waqairatu should be strung by their feet and the people of this country should stone these heathens to death for their comments and actions which have led this country to the brink of a racial war. The leaders of the church preach and promote racial hatred openly. Its members are then forced to give huge sums of money for the leaders benefits. We do not see this as a church of the people. We are certain that the leaders of the church have long given up their role as teachers of good and advocate everything the devil stands for.

The Methodist church has long been made up of leaders who are hypocrites and choose to openly flaunt their disobedience to the nation and its laws. Whenever there has been a coup, the Methodist church has always publicly supported it. In 2000, these were the same cowards whose actions resulted in the death of loyal soldiers and widespread bloodshed. In 1987, these were the same people who announced that the coup was something ordained by God. These self-serving men and women should realize once and for all that there days of dabbling in politics are over. They cannot continue to hide under the umbrella of religion and then openly preach violence towards other groups and their financial excesses will soon be checked as we denounce them here in front of the whole world. The leaders of this cult need to realize that they cannot stand in the middle - they must make a choice between religion and politics and their sick sly voices will not be allowed to speak from both podiums.

The Methodist church continues to oppose the govt. Why do they do this? Because this coup ensured that all their dirty dealings and snivelling ways were brought to the fore and the people realized that the leaders were nothing more then a sham. The people have been blinded far too long and we will not allow this to continue. We still remember during 2000 when Kanailagi and his group of supporters announced their support for the coup and stated that the Methodists accepted this.
Commentators like Jone are correct when they say that the church is nothing more then a breeding ground for corrupt preachers and their refusal to accept the Charter is testimony to their corrupt ways.
The Methodist church refused to accept this coup not because they thought it was wrong but because they would no longer receive those million dollar donations from the corrupt govts. of the past. It will be a cold day in hell before this govt.bows to the demands of a cult which has long corrupted the minds of our people.

Instead of sitting on the sidelines and simply crying about democracy, it would do the church leaders good if they got up and worked with the govt. instead of trying to destroy it. The Methodist church has a mission to work against us and we say that perhaps its time the leaders go back to their villages and plant cassava instead of assuming they can weevil their way into govt. with their racist agendas. When its people are dying of food and looking for means to survive, the church haunts them with their demands to give them more money so its preachers can go and have dinners at JJ's and other lavish eateries.

It is time the supporters of these criminals realize that they are merely feeding snakes who will continue to leech of these hard working individuals instead of doing an honest days work!

A Quick Update

Good evening to Everyone. We have had a fairly long day today as we had a lot of things that needed to be done to provide more support for the victims of the flood in the West.

We noted the very somber yet thought provoking article written by RFN. We thank them for the article and agree that the way forward one day will be the PM handing over the reigns to civilian rule. Unfortunately, that day has not come yet as there is much to be done and the work needed to be done has not finished. We hope you will continue to work with us to take this nation forward. On the other hand, we note with great disappointment that the bandits at SV have not stopped complaining. In fact, the site seems to be uncertain as to which direction to take with issues.

This fact has been noticed after the site screamed that the PM should attend the PIF and voice Fiji's views. In the same breath, the site tells the Australian and NZ govts. not to grant him access to their countries as he flies to the PIF. We're not too sure who has been on the weed wagon longer but the cracks continue to get deeper and wider in the SV camp. Bloggers seem to be taking sides and bad-mouthing one another without any concern for language used or the excessive racism that the site has encouraged without regard for their actions. We hope that bloggers such as Budhau will eventually see the light and leave the site to join our cause and take the country to new heights.

Our recent exposure of the SV bloggers identities has unleashed a barrage of criticism from the SV supporters. We stand by our blog and maintain our articles authenticity. The bloggers at SV are no doubt worried as the military keeps a close tab on such blogs and our recent revelations are no doubt a blessing for them. Perhaps, if the bloggers who have been exposed have any sense of decency, they would blog under their real names now. We don't need to state our names because the anti-govt. bloggers already know our identity. If one were to take a reality check on the SV site, one would see that the site is quickly running out of ammunition as they now resort to publishing entire speeches by Presidents of the US instead of focusing on issues in Fiji, as quite rightly stated by a number of bloggers on the site. Perhaps the site should rename itself and focus on lobbying for or against bills passed by the new President. Our hacker contacted us yesterday acknowledging receipt of our congratulations for a job well done. Doubtless, we will be seeing more fireworks in the coming days from that camp.

We welcome the decision by the PIF to defer the meeting. Their genuine acceptance of our current situation should serve as a message to the two lumbering hulks, Australia and NZ, that they are never going to be allowed to become wedges in the true pacific spirit. We hope that the meeting which will be held in the future will be one we can attend and sincerely look forward to hosting it in Fiji. That should show the world and the uncouth SV bloggers that we are genuine in our efforts and that their rants are similar to the growls of a toothless and nail-clipped tiger. Eventually that tiger will tire of its exertions and we will once again move in to shut down the site.

We welcome all our supporters to continue their hard work of taking the nation forward and to all those who have sacrificed their livelihoods to building Fiji into a better place to live, we are indebted to you and your families. Vinaka.

The Naked Truth - Exposed!!!

We read the following comment in our blog site a short while ago and broke out the bubbly.

Names, emails, aliases of all users of SV are in the hands of the hackers who hacked into solivakasama.org on Tuesday and published a post titled WE CONFESS:

1.Vilisi Naiduki
2.Te Waqavonovono
3.Imraaq iqbal
4.Tamarisi Digitaki
5.Angie Heffernan
6Arsad Daud

Game Over.
If the posters statement/revelations are true, then the SV has just effectively ended its tenure. We are happy to publish this information for the world to see because only a few days ago, anti-govt. bloggers dared us to publish their names - we are only to happy to oblige such requests. Obviously the workout session Imraz had at the camp has not dampened his mental strength and hence his stupid move to take up blogging. We are now in a position to confirm that we know who hacked into the SV site and we believe it is the same hacker who destroyed the life of the RFC site when it existed, albeit for a short span of time. Our sincere thanks goes to you know who for the actions taken and we look forward to seeing more great results from you.

We also read the following a short while ago:

F**k you and f**k aiyaz and chick shameem is a f****n bitch.
We have no doubts that this comment was left by one of the exposed bloggers who couldn't stand their identities being exposed and decided to try one last time to show the world their amazing profanity capabilities before dying. The word now knows that the blog is run by the above people and their so called supporters are no more then a mere handful. The question that now beg to be asked are how the bloggers claimed they had so much support when the whole blog was run solely by them? We know that people such as Imraz are utterly stupid as he is a well known cannabis smoker so obviously they had someone arrogant like Arsad to setup the whole show for them.

For those who are still in favor of SV, look at the names of your so called leaders. Angie Heffernan is well known for fleeing the country after she lost a case against the govt. As a result, she was ordered to pay a hefty fine and fled the country after it was exposed that her legal fees and the QC hired to defend her were all paid for by the US govt. The evidence was provided by Heffernan herself when she told a friend the details during her walks at Nasese. Little did Heffernan realize that her friend would rat her out and the information was passed to us for just this moment.

So, to the RFN bloggers, your articles of late have become very balanced and we are happy to acknowledge this fact. Strive to show the world that you care about the country you live in and are willing to work to rebuild it instead of whining and grumbling about the current situation like the SV bloggers. You must always be proud of your country and be willing to work to help out in whatever way you can without question or fear. Many people have given up a lot in their lives to help out. Many have given up their travelling rights and much more just to serve this nation of ours - the magnificent Fiji Islands.

The SV bloggers have long forgotten that they are seen as mere leeches because of their comments and the level of respect they show for their fellow men only serves to reinforce this fact and the conclusion that they respect no one - even if a new govt. is sworn in, they would never accept it because it is run by a group of greedy individuals who can no longer use corruption as a means of furthering their personal interests and agendas. We are happy your days of blogging are over and we will contact our personal friend the hacker to convey our hearty congratulations. We know the hacker will find you once again whenever you start a blog because the hacker is good at that.

To our fans who have steadily been increasing their support for our cause, we welcome you to the new world - a world where truth is the order of the day and lies from sites such as SV are mere distractions. Let not your vision be blurred by such idiocies and work with us to take this nation forward. After taking a break for a day to celebrate the appointment of Obama as President of USA, we were very interested in reading your comments. While some of your comments have bordered heavily on racial grounds, we will not be deleting them because we believe in open dialogue.

Once again, the rancid RFN bloggers have ended up with a foot in the mouth. Their ridiculous blogs mention that the PM's non attendance to the PIF is a sign of fear and cowardice. As usual, they have been proven wrong. The PM will be sending a delegate and even though we are sending a delegate, let it not be assumed that this is being done simply because the forum kicked up a fuss. We are a sovereign nation and we will not be pushed around by any of the other countries. It would do the heads of these countries to remember that we will push back. Just as the expulsion of the two commissioners of NZ, we will not allow other countries who have commissions here to think they can behave in a manner which does not conform to our countries rules and international laws.

The RFN and SV bloggers are misguided by the assumption that meeting the leaders at the PIF will do much for Fiji. We are of the opinion that nothing will be gained from this meeting as has been the case for many years. To even have the slightest notion that Fiji will be ordered to do something is based on unfound facts - we will not be swayed and it is up to the other leaders to realize that this govt. recognizes and will not sell our sovereignty down the drain as the past govts. including the SDL have done for money. We will not allow countries such as NZ and Australia to blackmail or bulldoze their way as they have done in the Solomon Islands. Our stand is going to remain and nothing will change that. The RFN and SV bloggers will become old men and women if they think their blogs are going to change the current situation in Fiji. We have achieved a lot since this govt. came into power and we will take the people forward into a new era where we will show them that good governance can be achieved and that race based politics are wrong for the country and its people.

We were a little surprised to have drawn fire from LoyalFijian. We understand his views but we disagree with them as our purpose is to draw out the buffoons who blog from RFN and SV. Our articles have not used profanity and our arguments are logical and direct. This is why our support based grows by the day. We note that the RFN and SV bloggers had at some point commented that no one supported our blog as all comments were against our articles - we invite them to look again today. Our support is growing, just as the support for this govt. is growing and the people realize that the PM is genuine in his cause to bring Fiji back to normality. We invite the LF to look carefully at our blogs and understand that we are not promoting the RFN and SV blogs. Rather, we have done everything to expose their lies and slanted truths. We have shown the world that the truth was being hidden from them by a group of shoddy bloggers who want the world to share their warped sense of ideas and irrational behaviors.

The conviction of the Netani Rika and Rex Gardner shows that the media needs to exercise control when publishing aricles. The acts of the Fiji Times clearly showed that there was a determination to defame the govt. using the open column (letters to the idiotic editor) as the medium. While touting media freedom, the Fiji Times blatantly published articles of extremely seditious manner and also failed to exercise due diligence. Rika, as editor had the full opportunity to prevent the letter from being published yet failed in his duty as a journalist to uphold the principles of his profession. Today's ruling has shown the world that journalists need to be held accountable for their statements, particularly those that provoke racial hatred or cause distress.

According to the Fiji Times websites latest article:
The High Court in Suva today fined Fiji Times Limited $100,000 and imposed a suspended prison sentence on its Editor-in-Chief, Netani Rika, for contempt of court.

Mr Rika was given a three-month jail term suspended for two years. The company was fined $100,000 and made to post a bond of $50,000 for good behaviour for two years.

Rex Gardner, the acting CEO of Fiji Times Ltd, was given a conditional discharge to be on good behaviour for 12 months.

Judge Thomas Hickie said judges were not immune to criticism, nor were they infallible, but the freedom of expression had been grossly abused in this case.

The Fiji Times had published a letter on October 22 last year critical of judges in the Qarase v Bainimarama court case. Justice Hickie found that the letter had gone beyond reasonable and fair criticism of the judges.

The Fiji Times published an apology about two weeks later.

Outside of court, Solicitor General Christopher Pryde said he was pleased with the ruling because it sent a strong message to media organisations to report responsibly or face the consequences.

Fiji Times Ltd lawyer Richard Naidu said it was a long judgment involving a number of legal issues and no statement would be issued until it had been fully studied by Fiji Times lawyers. Quote

While the FT published an apology, it took two weeks to eventuate by which time the damage caused by the letter had done its work. In order to prevent the court case from even ocurring, the FT can be assumed to have published the apology without any genuine intent. The FT lawyer, Richard Naidu will perhaps finally understand that media freedom is not meant to be taken as face value. Just like each of us are governed by policies and rules at work (not the RFN and SV bloggers as they have no scruples about anything), the media need to realize that such policies apply even more to them because of the information they handle and disseminate publicly. In future, perhaps journalists will learn to publish the truth instead of the slanted version which is entwined with their own conclusions generally founded on rumors and lies.

Media organizations in Fiji along with Daryl Tarte will perhaps now stay quiet because they have long been touting the freedom of the media and its independence. Perhaps Tarte will now realize that his ridiculous notions are what lead to this culmination of decisions and as an honorable man, he will resign his position. Our congratulations to Mr. Pryde and our sincere thanks to Justice Hickey who has shown that the Judiciary's role is still very much independent and they are not swayed by the rantings and ravings of fools such as those in RFN and SV. Perhaps the bloggers will also now realize that their actions will one day make them accountable to the law and we look forward to meeting you in the Courts that day.

Barack Obama

We will not be blogging today and will instead offer our hearty congratulations to President Barack Obama. We will not go back to providing an analysis of what we have said because anyone who has the slightest sense of anything will be able to grasp the messages we convey and our views about the current situation. We will also refrain from entering the arena to discuss who is behind this blog albeit the RFN bloggers have continue with the false opinion that this blog is run by a collection of individuals the RFN bloggers CLAIM are the authors. We have absolutely no connection with them and respect them as they are honorable and hard working citizens of this land. Our fight is not and never will be with them.

The PM has announced that he is seeking a deferment of the meeting which is soon to be held. We applaud this move and agree that this is best way forward for Fiji. Had the PM decided to attend, it would have been like the man who's house is on fire and leaves it to go and play golf - and the PM has once again shown that he is for the people and will stay around to ensure that the flood stricken victims are tended to and not left to fend for themselves. We highly commend this action and hope that for once, a ray of light may enter the world of the RFN and SV bloggers so they may see the good this govt. and its members are trying to achieve for Fiji. It is unfortunate that they choose not to see the good and live their lives in the petty world of plots and acts which they feel counter mine the lives of the Indigenous Fijians - perhaps they have been subjected to such ideas in their infancy by their parents.

On the side, we are extremely happy to see the level of bickering which has begun on the SV site and we now eagerly await the day when someone breaks rank and comes to us with all the website details - our contacts have already been established with one member who has assured us that he has the relevant details to access the site as an administrator so our team can then shut down the blog for good. Whats perhaps even more interesting is that fact that Tui Savu's true plans have come to light and the world no knows of his sham plan of sending money for flood victims here in Fiji when in fact he was simply collecting this money for a booze bash with his friends. Being the drunkard and sly degenerate that he is, Tui Savu must surely be plotting his next move as the SV bloggers become aware of his plan and sceptical about his moves to solicit funds from members - the truth shall prevail as is the case with all scammers!!!

Our team has been busy working around the clock assisting the victims of the flood by donating clothing, food and other key items we feel is vital for the people of the West - this is being done with no funding from anyone except our team members who have agreed to pool a certain amount of money every week to ensure that we can all help the victims in some way. Its not a lot but certainly more then the petty whining coming from the RFN group or the scammers at SV. We hope that our gestures will help the individuals recover some normality in their lives. The RFN bloggers have spent too much time looking at petty issues that they forget their own families may be suffering but their hearts have turned to stone and they will never help their own kind out of greed.

We have reduced our blogs as we all work during the day and have meetings to attend. After that, we generally meet up at a coffee house and discuss the days events and decide which way to best respond to the rubbish written by the RFN and SV bloggers. We feel that we have a duty to do this as we need to world to know what the truth is instead of what the twisted version is as construed by the heathenish RFN and SV bloggers. Our identities remain anonymous just like the RFN bloggers and we note that the identities of the SV bloggers will soon come to the fore as their in-fighting is surely leading to a mass revolt which we anticipate with eagerness.

Voices from the Dark

We read with amusement today on the RFN site that the bloggers had managed to find our ID's. It is hilarious to think that people such as the Khaiyums, Shaista Shameem, Christopher Pryde and Rizwan ud Dean are involved with this blog. Even more amusing was the fact that the bloggers seem to believe the yarn they spin without a care in the world.

We are an independent group of people who make observations based on information from the past and present to predict the future. Our identities are not known to the Military Council and we have no cause to go against their ideas. Our commitment to the current govt. and the support we currently give it will not waiver - it will become stronger and we will not deviate from this course.

For the bloggers of RFN and SV to go to the extent of formulating ideas as to who we really are only goes to show the level of frustration that has built up in their camps as they spew their rage while trying to destroy our blog. We have read many comments and we acknowledge them all - after all, your rage is what fuels us to blog you where it hurts. Do not be decieved into thinking that the above mentioned people are associated with this blog as they are not. They are hard working individuals who have sacrificed a lot for this country and we stand by them with heads held high. We see ourselves as the reformers of the RFN and SV blogs - our voice will not be silence no matter how much you throw profanity at us or try to discredit us using your filthy tactics. We work hard to help this country forward and this probably explains why we don't blog like the RFN and SV bloggers who spend their every waking moment telling the world lies about Fiji and its people. We blog when necessary in order to make the world aware of our views and where we stand regarding issues regarding this country.

It is amusing to read that the RFN bloggers spoke to members (or claim to have sources) of the Military Council about our blog. We again wish to remind the doting idiots of the RFN blog that our objectives are separate from the Military Council and we will achieve our results in a different way despite our objectives being the same - the betterment of this country and its people. So we invite the RFN bloggers to continue with their ridiculous blogs which carry no water unlike ours which seems to have struck fear into the hearts of the evildoers. It is wise for them to remember that our identities are going to remain the same as the RFN bloggers - anonymous simply because we know you're worried that one of those among you may be part of our group who is silently feeding us information about you and your doings. Do not be worried - your best friends are your enemies poised wth daggers as you walk without realizing that your work is about to be undone just like the RFC website ended up.

We will continue to monitor your movements and we will blog to let our voices be heard - let no man think that we will be silenced for we are here for this country and its people!!!

Forgive the Sinners

We hope the ardent (and blind) fans of RFN and SV have been watching the news. A short while ago, the Kean sought forgiveness from the family of the man he had killed - it was accepted and as a penance, Kean has offered to pay the children's education fees right through to tertiary level.

For those who had been calling him a murderer and harping on about his guilt, nothing can be further said to express this man's sorrow for what he did and his earnestness to seek forgiveness for his actions. The widow forgave him and we wish the RFN and SV bloggers could do the same instead of merely criticising a man who is sorry for his actions. Obviously the devil worshippers have not had the opportunity to read from the Bible otherwise they would have learned that "let he who is without sin cast the first stone." This is expected from a group of bloggers who spend their time sitting on the Bible or kicking it around and then blogging about the actions of this govt. We wonder what Jesus would have done in this situation - very likely spat in the face of the the RFN and SV bloggers who are hypocrites at the very least.

To add salt to the wounds of the bloggers (and we do so enjoy doing that and watching you squirm in agony), the Fiji TV news ran a story about how the people of Fiji were doing what they were best at - rebuilding their lives and looking ahead without waiting for govt. action. They have shown the lazy and ill-bred RFN and SV bloggers that they have the courage to take up their lives from where it was destroyed -Parmesh Chand's presence in the flood stricken areas shows the govts. commitment in ensuring that all areas affected are taken care of. At this juncture, we would like to express our dissatisfaction over the behavior of some members of the public who are taking advantage of the current situation and taking more then one food ration. This has been particularly noticed in the Indian communities. Please do not become greedy and show your true Indian nature of being greedy and hogging all the food thus depriving other people from feeding their families. Learn to share like the Fijians who waited patiently for their rations.

We end this blog of today on this note: the RFN and SV bloggers are sadly misguided (as they have been since birth) if they think their blogs will hold up much longer against the onslaught we have been giving and have more to give - the people are now seeing both sides of the coin and our side is the truth. How much longer will you continue to deceive the people of this country with your lies and hypocrisy?

Why Democracy Does Not Work

As our efforts to help rebuild the homes of those shattered by natures forces continue, the ravings of the madmen at RFN and SV also continue in their vain efforts to discourage us from our work. We have read your letters and we will continue to spurn you because of the dogs you truly are. In the hopes of recovering their shattered yarn which we are the cause of, the RFN and SV bloggers now assume that the speech written by the PM on the day of the takeover was written by the AG. How misguided the foolish bloggers are! We all know that the speech was written by the Commander himself and the wordings were chosen carefully to ensure that each person in this country understood the situation.

For the bloggers to continue to assume that this blog is maintained by the AG because of his technical abilities, you are sadly still mistaken - but we know you would be extremely surprised when we reveal ourselves to you some day because we are certain you did not expect to be attacked by us. We are a group of people who will not be distracted from our cause and we remind the doting idiots of both blogsites that we will stop our responses when you support our cause instead of blogging against your fellow men and women who are helping those in this time of need. In addition to this, the people who claimed that the military was not doing anything, we believe that you have become blinded by your own stupidity as the military has been out on the ground helping rebuild shelters and schools.

The current issue that we feel needs to be highlighted is the recent release of Francis Kean. Kean, as you all must be aware, was found guilty of murder and sentenced accordingly. During the days of the Yellow Ribbon campaign, it was you bloggers who believed in its cause because you had a stupid (and unbridled) hope that people such as George Speight and his group of clowns would be released. This was not to be and your frustration is no doubt abound after Kean's release. We ask why you did not complain when Kunatuba was released and given a job? We wonder why you choose to complain because one man was released and given back his life and reputation in society? Is it because he is not one of you and refuses to be blindsided by your petty rhetoric's and instead chooses to look towards the future and shares our vision of a different Fiji? Or perhaps it is because unlike most Fijians who are in jail, Kean happens to have truly reformed whereas the remainder refuse to undertake the rehabilitation projects which could change the lives of your relatives in prison? Kean was outstanding in his behavior during his stint in prison and undertook to sharing his knowledge and skills with other inmates. He was found to be courteous and ensured that he did what was expected of him. So why the disparity now that he is released? Do the principle's of the Yellow Ribbon project not apply to him? Why not? After all, he is a prisoner who was subjected to the same level to treatment as other prisoners. He did not receive his salary as erroneously stated by the dysfunctional RFN and SV blog sites so we fail to understand why such a lie was told to the readers of the aforementioned sites.

Our task is to take Fiji to the 2010 elections and despite the rubbish being spewed by the RFN and SV blogs that this will not happen, we disagree. Democracy does not work all the time, however, we are willing to give it another chance in 2010 and hope this time the people have enough sense to vote in leaders who will take Fiji forward for the good of the nation instead of filling their pockets. However, if that fails, then the govt. will be removed again and even God will once again not be able to stop us as he failed miserably in 05 December.

Complaints directed towards the government or the political structure have been part of our lives ever since the first governments arose. There is a difference, however, between past and present western civilizations: democracy. Criticism is an essential part of any democracy, as it allows us to influence our government and thereby ensure it represents the public will. However, the continuous dissatisfaction of citizens in democratic societies with their government indicates they do not feel represented at all. This results in a negative attitude of the citizen towards the government that will increase the gap between politics and the public. The source of this malfunctioning of democracy can be found in the emphasis on the individual, that is so explicitly present in modern society.

Our modern individualism leads to a divergence of the goals of government and citizen: what the governments want differs from and thus does not represent the will of the people. Politicians strive for what is best for society as a whole, whereas the individual in an individualistic society will strive for what is in his own, personal benefit: “the thought that the human is a creature that is directed towards values [...] for which one should make some concessions, has completely disappeared.”1 As the average of all these individual wishes does not necessarily represent that what is best for society as a whole, individualism leads to a difference in interest between government and citizen.

Due to the divergence of public and governmental will a difference evolves between the criteria used by the public and those the government itself uses to judge its performance. If the government strives for different goals than the individual, the idea of what is a good political policy will differ similarly. Consequently, the criteria the public uses to judge the policy as executed by its government will not correspond with the governmental criteria. Therefore, a government might achieve its goals and yet be regarded as a failure by the public.

The lack of representational power and the subsequent negative judgements lead to a negative attitude amongst citizens towards politics. The criticism the public has of their government seems to remain unanswered, since no government can serve all personal desires of each individual. The public senses its criticism lacks influence on the performance of politics, and thus distrust towards the political institutions arises.

Eventually, if no change is made, the public will turn away from politics entirely and therefore politics will become increasingly incapable of knowing and representing the public opinion. This is caused by a negative spiral that follows inevitably from the current situation: the distrust increases the distance between government and citizen, and therefore increases the feeling of lack of power of the public on the government, and the incapability of this government to represent the public.

So we see the three fundamental aspects of democracy: representation of the public by the government, influence and control of the public towards the government, and a feeling of engagement and trust, are more and more destructed by individualism. Democracy increasingly seems to fail, and it is, for the greater part, our individualistic society that is to blame.

1 Dijn, p.p. 94

Works cited

Dijn, Herman de. “Het einde van de politiek?” Democatie als filosofisch vraagstuk. Obviously the bloggers have not been carefully studying the wording used in each blog. No, bloggers, we walk freely amongst you and we choose not to have any military guards with us.

Our purpose is defined and we are resolute in our decisions to counter the libelous claims made by the bloggers. We are deeply disappointed that the RFN and SV bloggers have chosen to take this path in this time of need when their fellow brethren suffer from natures wrath. While on this topic, we note that the govt. has once again been blamed for the current disaster by a blogger who stated that this was a punishment sent to Fiji by God. We assure the bible bashers who frequently invoke God's name in every event that God certainly does not play politics and has absolutely no cause for such a move unless he too is an extremist and supports the SDL and its racist policies.

Nonetheless, we are not going to be diverted from our task of rebuilding the nation and we take this opportunity to thank the Australian and NZ govts. for their contributions of late and their acknowledgment of the true island spirit where we come together to help out a friend in need. The fact that they have come together with financial support shows that our differences of late will not be allowed to be blown out of proportion as the the blogger twits at RFN and SV have so arduously tried to. Nothing is impossible and we remain confident that the govts. will be able to find a suitable solution forward. This solution will not, unfortunately, involve any past commissioners of the two countries as we need a fresh direction to bring the countries together and to help when we have elections next year.

On the topic of elections, we also note that several bloggers made the foolish statement that the election promise of next year is merely a carrot dangled for the donkey. We disagree as we will be having elections next year and this is no carrot. Our work is nearly done and we have secured several loopholes that were introduced by the SDL in their quest for the promotion of corruption and greed. Our systems will ensure that no govt. in the future will be able to act for its own personal benefit and any moves will be purely in the interest of the people of this country who, by right, voted them into power. This does not mean that we will remain idle. Our vision is clear and we will speak out whenever we feel that the govt. is deviating from its promises to the people.
Where we feel that the govt. is no longer capable of managing its affairs, options will be presented to them - the last option is the dissolution of the govt. under the directives of the President and the military will be asked to fill the shoes of the govt. until the country is once again going in the right direction.
For anyone to assume that the days of coup's are over, we assure you that they are not. Far from it, coup's ensure that the govt. does not become complacent and begin to engage in acts of corruption. We will continue to purge the govt. whenever we feel that there is a need. The country needs to understand the corruption breeds poverty and all things evil - we will not allow this because too much corruption makes it difficult to stabilize an economy.

We ask the RFN and SV bloggers to work with us to take the country forward to ensure that Fiji does not need another coup to rid it of corrupt politicians like Vosanibola, Qarase and Bale who took this country down hell and had the coup not been executed when it was, we would all be burning in the fires of hell and probably living in the same state of imbalance as is seen in Zimbabwe today.

A big Vinaka Tonga, from the bottom of our hearts!!!

We picked up this article from Fiji Today:

Tonga with a population of 219,000 has given assistance of US$60,000 (FJ$ 108,570).

Our nearest neighbors have excelled and deserve to be recognized for this offer.

This equates to 50 cents from every man woman and child.

To match this Australia would have to give $10.4 million dollars and New Zealand give $2.06 million and China $400 million.

Everyone seems to have missed the staggering size of this offer

This donation needs to be recognized.

The govt. recognizes and thanks the people of Tonga for their contribution. No doubt, the PM will be personally called the Tongan PM to convey his heartfelt thanks and best wishes for the extremely generous contribution. We realize that this is the true Pacific way of selfless giving from countries such as Tonga which reinforce our commitment and relationships with the country and its people. NZ and Australia would do well to remember that every gesture whether it is kind or unkind will be returned in kind. This govt. did not ask Tonga to make a contribution of such a magnitude but the people there obviously care a lot for our people so much so that a heavy contribution was made to help the people of Fiji.

A big Vinaka Vakalevu from the people of Fiji and those who are in dire need of such assistance.

To the RFN and SV bloggers: take note that while you go up against the people of your own country, our brothers and sisters from a foreign land recognize our commitment and have shown their support for us - isn't it time you also stopped crying and joined hands to take the nation forward?

Tea for the Needy

Just this morning, we were praising the RFN site for its ability to see through the muck and see the right things. We find it rather distasteful now to have to say we were mistaken about the site. In no less then three articles, the site shows its true colors by discrediting the PM's Tea which was held to get much needed funds for the flood victims. Instead of focusing on the good that the tea session had produced the site does itself a great injustice by accusing the PM of having tea - can you not see beyond this and see how much money was generated in less then thirty minutes? Are you so blind that you cannot see that every possible means is being used to ensure that money is available for the poor and needy of the flood?

We know that sometimes such things may seem a little out of the ordinary but obviously the fools at SV and RFN have not heard that extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures! How much have the sods at RFN and SV contributed? Not one saqamoli and they have the gall to criticise the hard work being done by the PM and the Disaster Teams.

It is outrageous that the RFN bloggers can be so naive at a time when their fellow men need their help that they choose to bicker and chant about the methods used for collecting donations. It boggles us that people are generally supposed to have the common sense to see the right things - obviously the RFN and SV bloggers have become so cross-eyed that they cannot see whats right and wrong. Instead they choose to behave like children - perhaps if a few of their families members were drowned or if they had all their belongings taken away from them will they then realize how stupid they look when they stand on the banks and ridicule the hard efforts being made by other people. For once the RFN and SV bloggers need to get off their high horse and also get something going. If they had any common sense, they would have held a soli of some kind to get money flowing in for the needy.

Because we now have to get back to tending to the needy, we end our blog here and say a prayer for those badly affected and those who have lost their lives - we will remember you in our hearts and prayers. To the RFN and SV bloggers, may God smite you for worshiping the devil who seems to have led you astray and throw your families and you into the deepest and darkest recesses of hell.

A Silver Lining in the Clouds

We would like to thank this opportunity to thank the RFN bloggers for acknowledging the work being done by the PM and his presence at various grief stricken areas of Fiji. We missed blogging yesterday as plans were being made on how to transport some much needed relief for people this weekend. The PM is right in saying that
we should not rush to start rebuilding just yet because another two depressions are on their way and they will simply bring us back to square one.
At this moment, our efforts should be concentrated on getting villagers to higher ground and providing some relief for those unable to move.

At a time of such crisis, the RFN blog site has produced a few interesting articles and we thank them for their efforts in supporting us in that manner. We also thank our readers for their comments and support shown during this time of strife - this is indeed how Fiji should be and how the world should be; coming together at a time of crisis to work as one. The FNPF will be advised accordingly soon to ensure that members seeking to withdraw funds for rebuilding their shattered lives are able to do so. However, this will very likely be set to a cases by case basis to ensure there is no possibility on a run on the organization and members do not simply withdraw money and use it for trifling things. We are of the understanding that members will possibly need the funds for their school children, food and stock to replenish their broken homes and support for such ventures will be provided soon.

Comments have been forthcoming on other blogs as well and we understand that a few blogs have put up pictures of flooded areas. We thank these blogs for their articles as this helps tourists understand the extent of damage in Fiji and why it is important they do not travel unnecessarily around Fiji during this crisis.
Tourists who chose to ignore local warnings and still come to Fiji need to understand that the govt. will not be in a position to provide them as much support as they expect because the citizens of this country will be given the first priority.
Tourists need to contact their local commissions and determine a way out as warnings had been issued locally and in other countries about the dangers of travelling to Fiji during this weather cycle. So, tourists who are currently critical of the lack of support given by the govt. to them should be mindful that they put themselves in a position of danger - we did not ask them to.

The SV site has not stopped their ridiculous charade, even during such a time to come down from their pearch and help as the RFN bloggers have done. They continue to sit and crow like toothless tigers being washed out to sea on a fast melting bed of ice. We eagerly await the ice to fully melt and drown the beasts. For once, we had wished that they would be understanding and it seems that only RFN are willing to work for change instead of griping like SV has been doing. We wonder if the SV bloggers have a conscience or families for that matter? We think they have neither as they have nary a thought for the victims of the recent disasters and instead have remained in their warped little world to continue to be critical of a govt. which is doing all it can in such a calamity despite all odds. This stance taken by SV shows their true colors - a group of people who have no care for the victims of the flood and instead choose to harp on about the govts. failures instead of seeing the hard work being done by the military, police and other govt. members. It is unfortunate that SV chooses to see the cup from the perspective of it being half empty - we see it as half full and will continue to be positive in our efforts.

We will end this blog by saying that we ask those in a position to help to do so instead of merely sitting around with deviants such as Tui Savu who have concocted a new scheme to scam money out of other bloggers. We know that none of the money collected will ever reach the victims and instead it will be used to fund Tui Savu's personal wealth and his binge drinking sprees.

School Term Opening Date

In order to show the world the ridiculous statement by the RFN and SV bloggers about the govt. not deferring the school opening date, we hereby publish the following:

Due to the unfavourable weather conditions, the beginning of the school year, for all schools in Fiji, has been deferred to the January 26, 2009.

Once again, the SV and RFN bloggers have shown the public their stupidity by putting the cart before the horse. After deliberations, it was decided to do this as students who are borders and those who have to travel great distances would be inconvenienced. As such, the decision was made to defer the school opening. We hope this clarifies the stupid article published by SV whereby they accuse the govt. of not deferring the school opening dates - please have patience in the future and not jump the gun as you are always doing. We do not moderate any comments placed on this site and we respond only when required. Thank you for your comments and we look forward to reading more of them as time goes on

As such, the SV and RFN sites have not had the courage to give their members the level of freedom to post what they like because of the fear that the number of supporters of this govt. may overwhelm the few who believe they are the majority. After observing the two blog sites for a year, we have learned that the majority of the bloggers make very little positive contributions to the blogs and those that do blog are extremely racist and choose to remain under the impression that this country belongs well and truly to the Fijian race. It is sad that this view is still being held at a time when multi-racialism and cross cultures are predominant on a global level. We are of the view that the country can no longer remain singular and that indigenous Fijians must learn to accept other races and work with them in order to build a better Fiji.

We still remember the early days of the Resist-RFC website and have retained copies of all comments made during the time. Based on the comments, we can easily see how much aggravation was displayed by racist despots in the wild fervor to counter our facts. We are here to stay and until the elections of 2010, this country will have to work with this govt. without question. The PM has made it painstakingly clear that until our work is complete, we will not be moved. The issue of debate currently is the lack of support shown by the govt. in aiding the victims of the recent natural disaster. We believe otherwise. We believe that the appropriate ministries are involved at the ground level and see no need for the PM to intervene where good work is being done. Already the DISMAC team have begun to analyse the extent of the damage and accordingly it is expected that funding will be sought across various ministries in order to prepare a financial solution which would be spread across the wide spectrum of Fiji. Perhaps in a time of crisis, the SV and RFN bloggers should put down their swords for once and join in the restoration of lives and provide support to those who need it.

It is unfortunate that a group which can do so much for the needy at this time choose to rant from their hideouts while we walk freely among the people of this land who support us and have continued to show support even during times of strife. One of the notable factors of the recent SV and SV.org sites is that the SV site has a fanatical need to reach the 1,000,000 hit mark. We fail to see what this figure is going to achieve and this is very much akin to the March 2009 election deadline set by other countries - nothing will happen this year and we give you our assurance that an election schedule will be set for 2010 and we urge you to work with us in order for this time to be achieved. Having elections this year cannot take place in the time frame suggested because schools will be running and the manpower required for such manoeuvres is significant to the extent where the school's will be required to close during election period. As such, elections will be held during the eight week school holidays of 2010.

Resistance within the Camp

Our blog is attracting attention based on the comments left on certain articles. Today, we will look the involvement of the Australian military and its actions with the SDL govt.

It is no big secret that the Australian Navy was sent with a full load of soldiers and ammunition before the coup. For an Australian platoon to assume that they could simply walk into Fiji and takeover key positions in order to subdue the military is laughable.

Before the coup, the commander had given several press statements and also made submissions to the CC (Council of Chiefs) about the need to remove the controversial Qoliqoli and RTU bills. The SDL govt. had responded to these statements by going to the President while the Commander was away from the country and asking that the Commander be removed from his position. The President agreed as he was acting on the advice from Qarase. The position was then offered to another key figure in the military, Meli Saubulinaiyau, who declined the position by stating that "he did not command the full respect of the military." It is important to note this point because Saubulinaiyau stated that he did not command the respect of all military officers. What he did not know was that the Commander had already begun his own internal investigation to seek out those who were opposing him and his plans to take the country in a new and improved direction.

Saubulinaiyau made the greatest mistake by saying the words he uttered on that fateful day. The fact that he was even chosen by the President indicated to the Commander that Saubulinaiyau was not follwing his plans and in addition to this, the words he uttered only served to reinforce the claims. In fact, it is known that during their discussion, the Commander had told Saubulinaiyau that "your claim that you did not have the full support of the military has only served to prove the point that you are not a loyal soldier. From your comments, it can be seen that had you had the full support of the military, you would have accepted the position and had me removed." Even a fool can see that those words ring true. Had Saubulinaiyau had the support of the military, he would have definitely moved into the shoes of the Commander and ensured that the military aligned itself with the govt. and also supported the controversial bills.

In the midst of all the ruckus appeared Baledrokadroka. Unaware that he was also being monitored, Baledrokadro was using his position to amass a group of soldiers who would arrest the Commander and neutralize him then a new Commander would be appointed. To test his loyalty to the military, the Commander gave Baledrokadroka an instruction which Baledrokadroka says "An order posted on Sunday was hard for me to understand but eventually I deciphered it as being treasonous and I refused to obey it," This was a clear cut case of mutiny and refusal to obey a direct order which the Commander quickly controlled and had Baledrokadroka removed from the camp altogether. In the days leading up to the whole saga, the Commander said that Baledrokadroka had been dismissed for insubordination and for failing the loyalty test of the Military. The command which Baledrokadroka had refused to obey had only been a test, which he had failed miserably, the Commander claimed. He had been willing to give Baledrokadroka another chance, he said, but Baledrokadroka had made matters worse by talking to the media. He accused Baledrokadroka of trying to elicit support from soldiers. Accordingly, the Military had "isolated" Baledrokadroka in his office and the Military's legal team had reasoned with him to persuade him not to attempt a mutiny. Baledrokadroka claimed to have confronted the Commander and told him that his intentions were treasonous, and asked for his resignation. "I asked the commander for his resignation on the grounds that it was perfectly clear that he was going to commit treason ... I told him it was either he resign or I resign." Both Baledroka and Saubulinayau were acting not in the interest of the nation or their Commander, but for personal gains and we now know that both individuals were working closely with the SDL party and had also had subsequent meetings with party officials.

So, we can now see that mutiny, treachery and deception were the order of the day - something considered appropriate by the SDL govt. If this does not open the eyes of the RFN and SV bloggers, we are truly surprised at how much more a blind eye they choose to turn to the reality of the situation. They are supporting a group of despots and individuals who became extremely desperate to retain their power because of the corruption and greed that had taken over them. It is acknowledged that the SV and RFN bloggers choose to champion their cause over the Malasebe death. There is sufficient evidence to show that Malasebe attempted to assault the arresting officers and in addition to this, he was a hardened criminal who chose to use desperate meaures at time where he could easily have gone with the officers for questioning.

Those who had witnessed the affair later agreed that the individual had attempted to use force on the officers and when attempts were made to subdue him, he turned violent and as such, the officers were required to use extra-ordinary force. His death should not be seen as one of a martyr and the RFN and SV bloggers need to realize that his death is of no consequence to the govt. The death of a prisoner who has robbed and lied his way through life by depriving the rights of his victims is not fit for this world. Over the days that went by after his death, many callers to popular radio stations all agreed that Malasebe died because of his actions. Malasebe was a criminal and his death was seen as a tragedy when in fact it was a blessing. Supporters of Malasebe perhaps forgot about the emotional scars he had left on his victims and how many of them would have to rebuild their lives again?

Perhaps the SV and RFN bloggers were not victims of Malasebe - we wonder what their stand would have been had they been in the shoes of the victims?

Excerpts from an eight-page statement on the proposed Commission, 11 July 2005

Here are a collection of quotations made by the current PM regarding his stand against the SDL govt. and their racist policies.

"The military will dish out the same fate we dealt George Speight and his group to anyone whom we think deserves this treatment ... This warning is to anyone who will try and destabilise the country and we will see them as George Speight."

"Not only is it frustrating to see these people get an early release for political expediency, it makes a mockery of all the good work done by the judicial system to bring about the rule of law."

"Hundreds of George Speight supporters took to the streets, burned the TV station and shot a policeman. They did that because they knew that the military, the police, the judiciary and the DPP had been neutralised. That is exactly what we are going to face when they pass this Bill. It is not going to happen overnight, it might start with a Fijian passenger not paying his fare to an Indian driver, or a young Fijian boy climbing over the counter to steal sweets in an Indian shop."

"Unfortunately we have people in Fiji who stand ready to take advantage of situations such as these. The end result will be anarchy."

"They (the Provincial Councils) are accepting it only on the grounds that the current government is Fijian-dominated and on the grounds of religious principles but they do not know the real meaning of the Bill."

"(The Military) will have no qualms about removing a government that will bring back chaos."

And lastly, the most important statement that defined the future of our nation and showed the commitment of the PM for his work and the country:

"The RFMF must stop the Bill from passing or get rid of the Government if it is passed. We can recover without this government, we cannot recover from this Bill."

Corruption in the Defense

In our previous blog, we discussed the involvement of the NZ and Australian commissioners in their feeble attempt to remove the current govt. Our blog ended on the note that there was evidence to show the then police commissioner Andrew Hughes was also heavily involved in the scandal.

If there ever was a questionable moment in the history of the police force, then Hughes was certainly the cause. During his stint as commissioner, Hughes quickly developed a reputation for being a leader who removed anyone he perceived a threat or questioned his decisions. Despite this, a number of officers loyal to the country chose too bring his attentions to the fore and he was quietly monitored. One of the key questions that is yet to be answered is why Hughes chose to depart so suddenly when the coup took place? Could it have something to do with that fact that he was under investigation and just before the coup, he consorted with Qarase and left the country without any word to his fellow officers except his mobile phone? Another question that is currently on the table is Hughes salary. It is completely understandable if a public figure owns a boat - but when that figure owns a multi-million dollar yacht on the salary of a mere police commissioner, then the question of funding will no doubt be put to him. Hughes refusal to divulge details has led to the conclusion being drawn that there were dubious moves between him and the SDL party who no doubt padded his pockets.

The fact that Hughes photo was taken during his honeymoon with Qarase when they landed at the Australian airport is testimony to the collusion between him and the SDL party. Any observer will note that he is not in uniform and is carrying Qarase's bag. Here was a man who had been preaching the importance of transparency and was found to be absconding with a man who nearly caused Fiji's financial ruin and continued to pursue his strategies against the current govt. by way of mobile communication with his fellow officers. Once the link was discovered, it was severed and Hughes had no choice but to exit the arena. Another worrying factor about Hughes that was noticed very early on was his decision to arm riot officers with weapons not sanctioned by the military. It is of course acknowledged that the military do not necessarily need to be involved in the purchase of ammunition, etc, but Fiji's laws currently prohibit any organization other then the military from bringing in ammunition into the country.

Yet here was a commissioner who believed he had the powers to do so and it is just as well that the military were tipped off about the container which arrived laden with enough ammunition for a long drawn out siege between the police and the army.
The Commander made it abundantly clear that the military was not going to allow the commissioner to have any weapons that it had not sanctioned and demanded full access to audit the armory at the police barracks.
It is only when they entered the armory that it was realized that with the equipment available to the police, the military would be easily neutralized and a decision was made to confiscate the weapons - another clear example of Qarase's attempts at letting blood flow by getting the police and army to fight. Hughes objected publicly and this was rebutted by the Commander - the rest is history.

As we write these articles, we come to realize a lot more because words have greater emphasis and we see things clearly. It is now that as we write this that the sense of how close we came to a crisis which has been averted now. The deception was uncovered and the perpetrators were brought out for the world to see while others fled the country to save their reputations which are now tainted in this country. People such as Parmesh Sharma who continue to stay in Fiji are monitored for all actions they carry out and directives have been issued to ensure that such individuals are never given positions which are linked with the govt. in order to prevent future corruption. Other individuals such as the ex-ministers have long realized their fates and resorted to a quiet and reflective life.

We appeal to the SV and RFN bloggers to hear the call to serve your nation by helping rebuild it. The divide has become far too wide and the very people you continually bash in your blogs are doing their utmost to ensure that Fiji is the way the world should be. We will of course not allow our sovereignty to be compromised by arrogant leaders of the Australian and NZ countries and people such as Angie Heffernan who has recently lost a case against the govt. will never be allowed to return to this country because their acts were treasonous and their opinions will never be allowed to come out publicly in Fiji again.

We ask you to support our cause and join hands with us.

Colonization of Fiji

As we had blogged this morning, the responses have begun to trickle into this blog. While some have been ridiculous enough for us to ignore and not pen replies, others have been worthwhile reading.

Our blog this morning focused on the truth behind the coup and why the nation as a whole needed this political cleansing. We revealed how the SDL party had printed more then the required amount of ballot papers which were then replaced with the ballot papers of voters in order to ensure the victory of the party. To the election observers from abroad, this was not something they were aware of or they chose to deliberately ignore it - no matter, there voice should not matter in any case. After all, this is Fiji and as a sovereign nation, we decide our future and the Australian and NZ govts. should not assume that we are part of their colony. This is something which has long been an issue of contention.

It is rather unfortunate that these narrow minded individuals sitting in power in Australia and NZ choose to press their agenda with Fiji and then have the audacity to demand that the country listen and do what they want - it is outrageous and this govt. will not bow to the wishes of any country.
The clearest possible signal was sent when the two NZ commissioners were sent back to NZ after it was discovered that they frequently met with political parties in Fiji, particularly the NFP and SDL who are both opposing the work of this govt.
This is a clear breach of protocols and it is a well known fact that no commissioner has the authority to act in any political manner or mingle with political parties and parties which engage in hostile and terrorist tactics. The govt. came to learn of the NZ commissioners activities after her meeting with the SDL party where it was learnt that she discussed the situation in Fiji and how the SDL would resume its power. In addition to this, the previous commissioner to Fiji, Michael Green was discovered to have colluded with extremist parties and persons whereby he discussed deals and ways to remove the govt. from power.
The fact that the former PM is on record for requesting foreign military assistance is a clear sign of the high level of collusion between the two countries and the deposed members.
The extent of the involvement of the two commissioners was so extreme that it was considered an act of treason and it is only by the good grace of the President that the conclusion was reached to declare the two commissioners persona non grata. Had the govt. team chosen to do so, both commissioners would have been subjected to a full investigation and charges would have been laid.

The Australian govt. also aided the attempts at removing the present govt. by inviting mercenaries into the country who carried with them, suitcases full of equipment which is now being used to eavesdrop on the communications between key players in Fiji. The fact that the commission now has new high powered antennas and a sophisticated satellite system does nothing to dispel this theory and only serves to reinforce the fact that the two countries are hell bent on taking over the operations of Fiji and making it into another Solomon Islands whereby the citizens rights would have been trampled upon and the defense side of the country would have been run by Australian people.

Coming soon - Andrew Hughes.

A Pandora of Exposures

We have once again been presented with a skewed view by RFN and SV today. On the SV site, we see that the bloggers are blaming the current govt. for the flooding and deaths. One can debate about the fault of the govt. until the cows come home but it surely must be acknowledged that tis govt. does not have the power to control the weather. It is a ridiculous statement - equally to that of the article published by RFN who quote that the Natadola project is currently over budget and there are inklings of corruption in it.

We acknowledge the corruption - this was evident well before the current govt. came into power. The SDL party was heavily invested into the project, both financially and personally. Information we have received shows that the former PM of NZ, Helen Clark was also party to this crime as she had invested significant portions of the her personal wealth into the project by way of APRIL, the now expelled project controllers. He decision not to allow the current govt. into NZ is not based on a decision as PM, but a decision based on one which is of personal vengeance. It is well that the cat is out of the bag now and we are able to see the situation in its totality.

While RFN and SV spent their efforts decrying the govts. position regarding the Natadola project, it would do them well to remember that it is their money which was being used for unscrupulous purposes and the govt. stepped in at the right time to stop hoodlums such as Keni Dakuidreketi from looting the coffers with their $30,000/day fees. So what cause have these bloggers to continually bash the govt. over issues that are being corrected now? Perhaps the answer lies in the fact that these bloggers are disgruntled politicians or persons connected with the former crooks who are now simply using the Internet as a medium for expressing their disappointment; disappointment that they can no longer rob the people of this nation.

It is no big secret that the SDL party was a racist party - racist to the extent that money was simply handed over to Fijians while the other races suffered. A blueprint was made to enforce the racist policies of the party and bills which if passed, would have resulted in the death of the tourism industry and caused the loss of thousands of jobs. It is therefore no big surprise that the military moved in when it did because the people were crying. The hotel owners were already burdened with outrageous monetary claims by the self-claimed landowners and additional taxes levied on them did nothing to ease the burden. It is perhaps not surprising that a hotel owner asked, before the coup, what evidence the Fijians had to assert their authority in a land which was never theirs from the very beginning? The issue of native land and freehold should never have been allowed to exist from the beginning. If the early settlers had simply set all land as freehold and accordingly compensated the residents only once, Fiji's quagmire of land issues would never have existed. But these are things of the past and we cannot undo what has happened - just as the RFN and SV bloggers need to understand that no amount of cackling from their sites will every dissuade the current govt. from its task of rebuilding Fiji.

The Charter is the cornerstone for change. Just like the racist blueprint of the SDL govt., this govt. will also present its own blueprint but it will be a blueprint for all - this is the Charter and the people who currently oppose it, albeit a minority group, need to understand and accept it because neither hail, rain or shine will prevent the Charter from being enacted as law. The bloggers who write their ridiculous articles on the RFN and SV sites need to understand that the days of their corrupt practices are well and truly over because this govt. will ensure that appropriate mechanisms are in place to counter and weed out corruption. While many people are speculating that elections will not take place, this is purely a rumor.
There will be elections next year (2010), but these are subject to the reforms currently be undertaken within the civil service to ensure that there is greater accountability and transparency.
In addition to this, the current electoral system will need to be changed to ensure that the previous elections processes are returned. The belief is that the preferential voting system does not augre well for the people of this country because it is complex and cannot be used to indicate a true result of each candidate. It is the preferential voting system which was abused by the SDL party to gain majority seats in areas they knew they were going to lose. Coupled with this, officers were bribed with promises of money and power if they changed the votes in the boxes.
How else can the SDL party explain why they printed an additional 100,000 ballot papers after the tally was completed of the number of people who were eligible to vote?
The rule of voting is very simple - you get one paper and one chance at voting. You cannot be given another chance. Yet the SDL party believed otherwise along with the toothless observers who crowed that the election had been fair and free.

There is more to come and this will be revealed over time...

Profiling

Recent observations have shown there are a select group of individuals on RFN and SV who post their opinions about every article posted. At present, the following individuals are noted:

Mark Manning

Budhau

Peace Pipe

aubatinuku-N

The above persons frequently comment on every blog posted soon after a new article is published. This means that these individuals are either members of the SV who simply comment to pump up the commentaries or they are individuals who spend every waking moment on the SV site and refreshing their pages every second.

Mark Manning
A very unscrupulous individual who sides with Fijians in order for his personal gain and is considered by this government to be a spy in our midst. While the government is well aware of who Mr. Manning is, we are also aware of his medical records and his past conditions. Manning is a despot who chooses to hide himself in racist blogs and discredit the hard work being done by the current govt. simply because of losses he has suffered after the previously corrupt regime was removed from power. We are also aware that Mr. Manning was bribing ministers who then returned favors which benefited Mr. Manning tenfold. Mr. Manning is an individual who prefers to use corrupt practices to get what he wants.

Budhau
Budhau is an enigma to the us. We are not sure whether he chooses to show his patriotism by supporting the hard work of the govt. of the day or whether he is merely a wolf in sheep's clothing. Observing the comments of Budhau over time has revealed that this is also an individual who chooses to side with the side which makes more noise and as of late, it seems he is digressing more and more towards the anti-govt. side. Budhau is actually one of the few Indians allowed to post on the SV site and he is kept merely to add "flavor" to the blogs posted and is ridiculed for his comments. While the govt. is appreciative of Budhau's show of support, albeit a minute one, the concern is that Budhau may eventually stop defending the govt. and join the ranks of traitors who currently hide under the guise of terrorist websites such as RFN and SV.

Peace Pipe
The above individual is an extremely racist person who spends a large amount of time criticising other bloggers or throwing gobs of venom at the current govt. Pipe is a known liar and will often make comments which he hopes will incite the bloggers to an all out civil war with the military. Peace Pipes comments are generally bordering on actual acts of terrorism and he has shown support for the use of firearms such as grenades and guns to bring down the govt. of the day. This individual is part of the larger SV group and there is information to show that Pipe also frequents the RFN site where he is a regular contributor of articles which have no substance.

Sidenote: RFN's claims about having insider knowledge of the govt's. workings are mere lies which have been proven time and time again. It should be noted that when the PM chooses to discuss matters with other persons, only those individuals will be present in the room with him. Therefore, this blog is puzzled as to how RFN is able to publish what it publishes without any hard evidence - a case for defamation perhaps in the future?

aubatinuku-N
Hate breeds racism - this is the philosophy of N. Every comment made by him is laced with hatred for the Indians in Fiji and he has publicly admitted his hate by constantly throwing racist shards at comments made by Budhau. N is a strong supporter of violence and urges the remaining SV bloggers to show their support for his ideas. The govt. of the day does not condone any acts of violence against its members and will defend itself should the situation ever warrant it. It is also hoped that N will one day face the leaders of this nation and explain his racist reasons and why he chooses to use violence to solve his problems. N is also reknown for his low intelligence and usually contributes to any discussion by using profanity to destroy his credibility and undermine his own intelligence.

Based on the above information, one can see that these individuals need to be watched and their actions documented for future reference and actions.

Refuting RFN & SV

In their latest post, Solivakasama write that the PM is going to go through Australia just to spite the Australian govt. Here are the responses in red to their latest blog:

One wonders why the insignificant Voreqe Bainimarama is hellbent on flying via Australia en route to PNG for the Pacific Forum Leaders’ meeting on 27 January 2009.

Does his vacant head think that if granted the opportunity to touch down on Australian soil it gives him an advantage over the Australian government, that in fact he’s outsmarted them or effectively beaten them. Knowing the way he operates and thinks himself as the be all & end all for Fiji, the suka daddy is displaying his thick skinned obtuseness again for the whole world to ridicule.

No comments needed here - flight is via Australia and the PM has no control over the airlines flight plan

I get the feeling that the people he relies on to do his dirty work such as illegal PS Parmesh Chand and the just as illegal AG Aiyaz khaiyum are having a wonderful time setting their illegal prime minister Voreqe Bainimarama up to be ridiculed.

An incorrect statement - Parmesh Chand's appointment is not illegal as he was a PS in the previous defunct govt. His role as a civil servant cannot be questioned as he must obey the directive of the govt. of the day. No civil servant can disobey an order unless it borders on national security or loss of lives may be incurred.

These people Parmesh Chand, Aiyaz khaiyum and the Shameem sisters will have all their bases covered when the shit hits the fan and Voreqe and co will be left covered in it.

It is somewhat perplexing to find the name Shameem in every blog posted by Solivakasama. The Shameem family have been bastions of hope for our nation and their contributions to this country will never be forgotten. The appointments of the Shameem's preceeds this govt. and as such, the question of the legality of their appointments does not exist.

But you sleep with the pigs, You get up with the smell. It’s a pretty rotten state of affairs in the pigs sty and it’s getting worse.

Based on our comments in red above, it can be seen that if the latest blog is seen in its true context, there is really nothing for the SV bloggers to be complaining about. The appointments of the people they have slated in their latest blog were done by the SDL govt., a govt. whom the SV bloggers no doubt voted into power - for greed and corruption. It is ironic that this blog site chooses to become a critic of this govt. and have the gall to talk about corruption and nepotism when they have in their midst, a criminal of the highest order. Here, we are referring to Tui Savu, the self-acclaimed lawyer currently residing in Australia. Mr. Savu, as many in the legal profession know is an unscrupulous lawyer with a reputation for swindling the trust funds of many of his clients.

It is perhaps no surprise that Mr. Savu now resides outside Fiji after his actions became known to the law profession here. Yet, the blog site considers Mr. Savu a bastion of knowledge when in fact, he is nothing more then a common thief who used his profession and power to rob people of their money. Can he not then be aligned with the same group of power hungry despots who clung to power before the coup? We believe he can.

In his latest ruse, Savu has now begun a site called Solivakasama.org which purported to be a site which could be classed as an NGO. Accordingly, it was supposed that using the site would attract the attention of the Australian and NZ govts. who would then provide financial support which Savu would no doubt have used for personal gain. Unfortunately, the plan backfired when the aid did not come through and Savu was left to foot the bill for the domain he purchased with his money. The situation has been made more complex by the fact that Savu's move was to bolster support for his site on a global scale - perhaps he should consider the situations in Gaza more important then his self sought financial glory.

In addition to this latest mess, the blog site of Solivakasama, which is the original site now claims that they have nothing to do with the .org site and ironically, the site which once begged members to support the .org site now posts lengthy warnings about the site being used as a ruse for collecting money from unsuspecting individuals. The truth is that the Wordpress site initially hoped that Savu would share the proceeds of his donations with the team but based on what has been uncovered, Savu has decided to keep both the goose and the golden egg. In a fit of rage, a blogger called Adi Kaila decided to exact retribution by changing the blog site password ths locking out all the regular contributors. If these are not the signs of a site about to implode, we don't know what is.

In their latest blog, Raw Fiji News (RFN) chooses to blame the PM for the floods currently ravaging Fiji. Based on the articles published in RFN and SV, it can be easily seen that they are written by the same group of people - a group who have shown their disloyalty to the their employer and acted against this nation. We fail to see how the PM alone could have stopped the flood waters. Funding is being questioned and it should be noted that funding is avilable - it will be made available after proper assessments. This govt. is not going to merely provide handouts as the priors govts. have done. This leads to mis-management and breeds corruption. The people must also be prepared to put in their share of hard work to re-build their farms and crops with the backing of the govt.

Our first post

This blog was created to refute the allegations levelled at the present Government. In addition to this, this blog will monitor all anti-IG blogs and users who post comments. We hope that over time, the identities of each individual will become known to the public and that the people realize the damage they are doing to the country and only increase the difficulties the country is currently going through.

Based on our analysis with the Resist-RFC team, we have come to realize that there are civil servants who are frequenting the anti-IG sites. While these people may be doing it from the confines of their homes, the fact does not alter that they are still civil servants and must obey the Government of the day without question.
